So I want to build custom characters inside of Roblox Studio. Does anyone know a guide I can use?

By custom characters do you mean custom rigs besides the default r6 and r15 models? If so, I recommend checking out this post. It’s somewhat old but it still applies. There are also tons of YouTube videos about it.
If you just mean making normal Roblox characters with custom accessories, you can use a script to manually insert accessories or make the character in studio, name it “StarterCharacter”, and place it in the StarterPlayer folder.
Actually just R6 and R15. I just want to make it Roblox-like for a YT vid lol
You can insert a plain rig using the studio’s character inserter, it looks like an orange triangle under the Home tab, then you can change its colors and whatnot or drag and drop accessories from the toolbox into the rig model.

Yes, you can make any character in studio for free.
