Summary
MarketplaceService:PromptPurchase() intermittently fails when attempting to claim a free Limited UGC item.
The purchase prompt sometimes displays the following error:
“Your purchase of [Item Name] failed because something went wrong. Your account has not been charged. Please try again later.”
The issue is intermittent. Purchasing the exact same item often succeeds immediately after retrying without making any changes.
Expected behavior
Describe what you expect to happen
The purchase should complete successfully every time when:
- The item is available.
- Remaining Quantity is greater than 0.
- The experience is included in Experience Locations.
- MarketplaceService:PromptPurchase() is called with the correct AssetId.
The purchase prompt should not randomly fail with "something went wrong" when all requirements are satisfied.
