I want to fix the memory dump issue when starting the Roblox Player
What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
The issue is that every time I try to join through Roblox’s website and/or through Roblox Player
What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Creator Hub?
I’ve tried:
Deleting the Roblox file through %localappdata%
Uninstalling and re-installing Roblox
Restarting my computer
If I remember correctly this is one of the more worse errors you can get.
You can try to update all your available drivers. Or you can update your computer if it needs one because usually it is because of outdated systems sometimes.
Edit; this can also be because of The anti jet roblox has.
Edit; sorry, not any Jet I meant the built+in anticheat Roblox has.
I’m guessing it could be the anticheat because of the most update. Since if the is didn’t y happen before, that’d be the most likely thing since it also happened to someone. Else like you said.
Since Roblox recently updated if I am right, it would take more sense.
You could also try to stop processes that Roblox might be blocking? But I’m not sure
Although if none works I would classify this as a roblox bug for certain devices.
I’m still not sure what your saying or what you want me to do, I guess I’ll have to quit Roblox or something I don’t know, how can I play it if I… can’t.
I tried to open it through WinWAR, but it’s mostly just those weird symbols I forgot what you call them. I’ll try and see if I can open it through Notepad.
Yep Notepad is just having none of it, It just crashed. It has a lot, even WinWAR lags when scrolling through it, the only english thing I can see is this.
I’ve updated them all (I also visited a tech and had them replaced); however, it’s still doing the same thing. I also tried downloading Bloxstrap to see if it had any issues running with the normal launcher, but still no good results.
Does this mean I have to wait until Roblox fixes their anti-cheat problem?
I’ve heard you can also use VSC (Visual Studio Code) to open up the file; however, I can’t find the HYP file when going through my Temp file. I will try to give more info when I somehow find it.
Edit: Nevermind. I found the .tmp file. I was looking at the wrong Temp file
I did crack it down with VSC, although it looks a lot gibberish..
If you want to check Roblox’s memory dump, all I did was to change the “.tmp” at the end of it’s name to “.cs”, but it might not be worth it, since you can’t really understand what is going on
It’s probably not worth your time decoding this, as it is a really long file.
I might play Roblox on my Xbox rather than my computer. This is too much for me to fix
Playing on another device might work. Even though it might not work on your computer (or the device it broke on), try playing on another device. This has been the only solution I got (until I figure out what is really going on)
Honestly I’ve given up at this point. It’s (hoping it is a bug with Roblox’s Anti-cheat) either wait for them to fix it, or just straight up quit Roblox, because I am not buying a new PC, when I know for a fact it is not my PC’s fault, just saying that alone is outrageous. This error just happened right of the blue for me.
