There seems to be a rendering issue happening with a decently large group of users in our game War Tycoon where players are having meshes render really poorly making the game look very bad and drastically hurting the player experience with people who are effected pretty much having everything in the game be effected by the same issue.
We have a fix for this. Can you give some reproduction steps so that we can be sure that our fix will resolve these issues and we can roll the fix out in a safe manner.
hi, consider checking out **URGENT - MeshParts and UnionOperations Randomly Fail to Load In-Game** rq. we got a new dealership/customization system with replication focus set to a part around -1500 on Y while the player is in there. it seems that the issue happens often when players are in that new menu.
Replication focus part is in a model with persistent streaming mode, -1500 y and close to the camera which is also moved there
We’ve submitted a windows update back to version 734.
You should see this be resolved within the next hour or so.
Please ensure any future reports are from client version 734. (not 735)
Not sure if we’ve had any consistent method on reproducing the issue, its happening to multiple players consistently across multiple different types of devices with various specifications.
If you want me to gather more information about the devices being used, or just more information in general I can do that.
It still doesn’t seem fixed on our end, we are seeing it heavily across furniture models in Restaurant tycoon 3 whether they are using Automatic, StreamingMesh or SLIM
Sorry, I’ll specify - it’s the original bug in the thread that I was referring to, not the one about disappearing MeshParts / Unions.
Essentially in Restaurant tycoon 3, some of the furniture is loading in a very low-poly state, despite being set to SLIM or Automatic. It seems to only happen on windows and only affect specific furniture items.
We also get similar reports about this from time to time. Our vehicles are set to Automatic streaming mode because SLIM caused heavy lag.
it would take me some time to find the screenshot of that again but it was basically the vehicle with simplified meshes all around. very similar looking to what the staircase looks like
I disabled the new mesh streaming and improved lod feature.
It fixed the mesh rendering bug a little bit, but it also introduced a new issue. shadows/ambient occlussion is behaving weird. I zoom in, the ground is dark/shadowed. i zoom out, it disappears.
And culling behaves inconsistently.
