I have attached a lot of screenshots and images of my issue below for anyone to see. Whenever I try to play test the game either through the Roblox client, Roblox studio and also load into the game via studio. Most things that have an ID e.g. Meshes, Sounds and Images do not load.
This has only started happening in my game recently and I’m not entirely sure why. The reason I’ve put this bug report in the streaming category is because the only thing I’ve done recently that could’ve made this happen is start using Streaming Mesh. A lot of my models in game use the Streaming Mesh setting of Level Of Detail. But It’s highly unlikely this is the cause.
Another theory I have is that, I might have too many sounds or meshes in the game that aren’t being pre-loaded.
I have also opened up a very very old version of the game and this issue does not happen.
I have also attached a picture of the internet speed being used in the pictures below.
This seems to happen only sometimes, our testing team have noticed that the loading issue tends to happen when a new server is created. However a large majority of our testers experience issues loading in meshes, sounds and textures.
I am also experiencing this for the past month and only on my new game, I have still not been able to pinpoint the exact cause of this because its hard to replicate. I ran a poll and 70% of my testers experienced this once in game. I have experienced it 5 times in studio aswell.
My findings:
The model/meshpart exists, the meshid is in there, the mesh has a hitbox but you can’t see it. Copying and pasting back the meshid into the same mesh will make the meshpart visible as a normal part as if there wasnt a id inside
There is no erorrs for me
I assumed this is because of asset privacy because that’s when about I started using it in games but I haven’t been able to confirm this because I haven’t been able to replicate it again
Parts will load in, just meshes won’t
Most of the time, 90% of the meshes won’t load in but around 10% will. I’ve also had it the other way around where 90% did and 10% didn’t (percentages are approximate based on my experience)
Unlike the other person in this post, I have streamingenabled disabled
All of my meshes are preplaced except for the cars which are cloned from replicated storage
First example, on the first image we have the bug happening and on the second we don’t. In this case only the lobby loaded in where the player spawns
Second example, from one of the players, you can see green parts around the map loading in which are normal parts and then none of the map and most of the lobby doesn’t load in. In the last image you can see what it should approximately look like
