MeshPart stays gray even after removing the TextureID

Hello
I want to recolor this tree trunk in white , similar to the Part which is next to it on the screenshot:

However even after setting TextureID to “” and deleting the SurfaceAppearance under it, it still stays grey.
I can change its color to reddish looking grey or greenish looking grey, but it still stays far different compared to the part next to it.
What am I doing wrong?

Here’s a pretty low quality solution:
Just make a decal of your color and apply it to all 6 sides.
I don’t know why coloring it isn’t working, but just try the method above if you still can’t get it
