MeshStreamingAndImprovedLOD breaks meshes in studio

Since the setting mentioned in the title forces “performance” mode, the mesh renders like crap, despite having the highest possible settings in studio.

Also my PC is not the problem:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: RTX 5080
RAM: 64GB DDR5

The model file is attached in the private message

EDIT: Disabling the setting, making the meshes “Precise” then re-enabling it and restarting studio keeps a MUCH better version of the mesh than when they were in performance:

Expected behavior

I would expect it to look like this, or close to it:

Based on your screenshot, you have Mesh Detail Level set to Level 09, which is actually the lowest quality. Set it to either Level 00 or DistanceBased.

Hey thanks for the info!

However the underlying issue still persits: Why does the previously set RenderFidelity impact the Mesh render quality when enabling “MeshStreamingAndImprovedLOD”.

Once render fidelity is removed as property, how will it affect the meshes? This could potentially break the render of meshes permanently if they were previously set to performance instead of precise
