Hi,
I was just wondering if anybody on the DevForum have any experience when it comes to metal framing similar to the roof of this image below, and if they could provide any further information or guides to these kind of metal frame builds.
Thanks!

I donβt have direct experience with creating this in Roblox but it really is just truss designs. They are bars that create a triangle shape to give maximum support (as we all know from basic physics that triangle trusses are the most structurally supportive of any shape.
I am not exactly sure what your question was but if I answered it, great! If I didnβt I might still know the answer. You can use the basic 45 degree CFrame tool to rotate as a 45 degree angle would be the only angle that makes sense (also the most supportive angle).
For anything like this I would start off building a single section (area within orange marker) which gets repeated across. The parts in red can be built easily with SBS. Rotate a part in the middle of your segment 45 degrees in both directions to create the βXβ shape. When you have the full section built and grouped, you can duplicate and move them across to create a full truss.
(Have either the left or right part deleted before duplicating so there are no z-fighting parts after connections are made, or just delete the duplicate parts afterwards. Example of what I mean below)
When you get to the bend outlined in green in the above image, use Archimedes. This will duplicate the segment for you in a chosen direction at a given angle.

Let me know if this answers your question, and good luck with the build.
