Miner's Haven Reincarnation (4/5/2020 - 4/12/2020)

One of the largest updates to ever come to the game, with exciting changes to existing mechanics and tons of balances to make progression feel more smooth, we hope players at all stages of the game can enjoy this refresh!

Important Changes.

The Craftsman Overhaul,

Lots and lots of crafting.


Key features,

  • Fusion and Evolution tiered items are now crafted.
    • Existing mechanics for obtaining either-or were removed,
    • Blueprints (purchasable for Research Points) are required to craft any given Fusion or Evolution.
  • Two brand new features.
    • Reborn Shop,
      • A daily restocked market where users can purchase Reborn items for shards. Items that are available are based on your current life
    • Salvaging,
      • Allows players to scrap unwanted Reborn items for small amounts of shards.

Reborn Rarity API,

Upon rebirthing, players are guaranteed to have a 0.5% chance to obtain any decimal rarity reborn.

  • sqrt(LIVES_SKIPPED / 5)0.5% - 2%
  • One-time equation that determines eligibility for a rare reborn.

If you skip 20 lives, you have a 2% chance to be guaranteed any rare reborn, which reborn you obtain is a factor of luck and how high or low the decimal rarity of an item is.

  • Chances = floor(DECIMAL_RARITY * 100)
    • If the item, King Gold Mine has a decimal rarity of 0.25, you have a 25% chance per rebirth to have 1/X chance to obtain it.
      • "X" is a representation of how many other possible items you can get, this depends on your current rebirth.

Difficulty At Lower Lives Has Slightly Increased,

Lives 1-40 will increase by +25Qn/life (stops at 1sx) then reverts to the current method of scaling. For context: Life 41 is approximately 61sx to rebirth

A New Map,

Tons of new places to explore, NPCs to meet, collections to fill and enemies to kill.

Item Mastery,

This feature WILL need future work to ensure all items are properly recorded.
An all in one collection of owned and previously owned items.

Superstitious Crafting,

A new type of crafting, only available to players in the end stages of the game.

  • Requires 2nd sacrifice and life 1k+.

Item Limits,

An item limit was imposed, the maximum amount of items you are allowed to place is 550. Two layouts worth.

Platform Behavior,

Special thank you to @LordTechStorm for his contributions to the rewrite.
Multi-movement and platform intersections in between each other were implemented!

  • Platform legs are non-collidable now.

Unboxable Vintages,

Vintage tier items are now selectively found in boxes rather than being available in every box, at all times. This change does not apply to Heavenly or Magnificent boxes.

Other Notable Changes.

  • Overlord’s Telamonster was added to Void Drive crafting recipe.
  • Fixed visual issues with Lucky Clovers when applied to boxes.
  • Red-Banded boxes automatically apply a Lucky Clover like effect rather than guaranteeing duplicate copies.
  • Hydra Blaster’s upgrade is random, between x3-4.5 rather than a guaranteed x4.5.
  • Twitch related items are twice as common.
  • John Doe’s gladiator styled challenge will only be available on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
    • You no longer obtain Magic Clovers for doing the challenge.
  • The Void Drive’s ore decay was lowered from 5s → 3s.
  • Blue Supergiant multiplier being lowered, Nova Star will contribute half as much to its multiplier as it used to.
  • Rebirth prices no longer cap at 2.5 * 10^181 and the maximum rebirth price is reached at life 80,000 rather than ~47,000.
  • Research points are obtainable via furnaces again.
  • Majority of ALL reborn items had changes applied to them, nerfs and buff alike.
    • Most mines were given a unique gimmick to boost usability.
  • Shards will no longer be sacrifice proof.
  • The time it takes you to rebirth will be tracked and advertised in chat.
    • Recorded times are rounded by 2 decimal places and notated in seconds/minutes/hours/days.
  • McSpookDook has been re-outfitted and given his shop.
    • Here you can purchase a wide variety of boxes or lucky clovers for uC
    • Spectrals boxes now have a 2% chance to open into Heavenly boxes.
  • Extended functionality with multi-placement.
  • Boxes now instantly award your prize.
    • Deals with an increasing amount of people not getting their prize because they left the game too soon.

Other Minor Changes.

  • Unwrapping presents won’t force-close placement anymore.
  • The Masked Man no longer sells box related content or Luxury tier items.
  • Nova Star bug was fixed.
  • Daily gift streaks are functional again.
  • Occasional “Welcome back to your base” spam should be fixed.
  • Optional scientific notation toggle.
  • Customizable chat prefixes.
  • Non-intrusive notifications do not glitch upon respawning.
  • You are guaranteed to spawn with all your tools/weapons.
  • The following “Pulsar” themed items were nerfed and can only be used one time.
    • Stardust Pulsar (x45 → x25),
    • Ore Supernova (No multiplier change),
    • The Cosmic Tower (x50 → x35).
  • Tons of UI refreshes for a cleaner overall look.
  • Layouts/Loading into the game should be anywhere from 5-10% faster.
  • Solo island remodel.
    • Unlockable island skins.
  • Resolved issue with item description translations.
  • Item thumbnails no longer “preload” upon respawning.
  • Hard-shutdown screen was removed and replaced with a soft-shutdown handler.
  • Mobile users will be able to favourite items by pressing and holding for 1 second.
  • Global leaderboards now show the top 25 players rather than the top 10.
  • Three global leaderboards.
    • Most shards all time,
    • Highest daily gift streak of all time,
    • Most research points all time.
  • AFK Dutchman farms are being nerfed, users will only be able to farm boxes/clovers with up to 5 placed.
  • Research point rebalances, non-research-point based furnaces will require more processed ore to yield any reward but award lots more RP back.
  • Executive Pillars were set back to x5.5 without a cooldown.
  • Leaderboards show the top 25 players rather than the top 10.

Reincarnation Patch 2 (4/7/2020),

  • More improvements with Xbox navigation while in Craftsman+Superstitious menus,
  • Tweaks to items selection to make mesh items easier to select again,
  • The Craftsman will now display how many copies of an item you own (when mouse over) while salvaging or evolving,
  • Badge mastery now registers coliseum themed badges,
  • Fixed multi-withdrawing,
  • Exploit patches (Ore boosting is patched),
  • Devourer of Nightmares was fixed,
  • Chat tags will properly trigger when joined,
  • Delta Phantom was buffed,
  • Removed unobtainable Superstitious tier items from in-game logs,
  • Void Drive and Daestrophe are no longer compatible

You are no longer able to see other players ores unless you are given build permissions and are at their base,
Updated all non-collidable item/map meshes to use box collisions (Significantly decreases client memory usage)

Reincarnation Patch 3 + Easter Event (4/12/2020),


Easter has arrived! Hunt around the map for various eggs that you can exchange to the Craftsman for exclusive Easter-themed items! Eggs respawn every 10-12 minutes, collecting 5 normal eggs may even warrant you a certain Eggcelent Upgrader!

Important Changes,

  • Crafting Superstitious tiered items was made slightly more difficult, the number of elements required was increased by 20-40%.

  • Four new Superstitious items were introduced! The Death Cap, Midas Blaster, Tyrant’s Throne and Vulcan’s Wrath are now obtainable.

  • Blue Supergiant was given a 0.22/s upgrade cap, this is to match Circus Cannon lines with the faster star lines without drastically impacting the owners of the artifact

  • The Craftsman misplaced all of his eggs! You can help scavenge for them in return for some cool new items!

Miscellaneous,

  • Hydraulic Press was fixed,
  • Blazing Annihilator was fixed,
  • Atlantic Monument properly extinguished flaming ores,
  • ‘Wet’ property applies correctly,
  • Slight difficultly increase when making Superstitious tier items,
  • Ore Tixicator was fixed,
  • Ore Replicator forks had collision turned off (allows larger ores to be replicated),
  • The time it takes to fetch items was drastically improved (0.05-0.2s → 0.002s → 0.08s),
  • Selection bug with platforms and bad mouse registration was fixed,
  • Fix existing issue with not being able to place in the same location after undoing,
  • Player settings menu was reverted,
  • Apollium variants fire-boost was corrected (wrong multiplier),
  • Reborn evolutions are not locked to the first sacrifice anymore,
  • Leaderboards properly display user-information,
  • Removed cutscene from intro-screen,
  • Slight tweaks to the Craftsman UI to prevent duplicate items from appearing,
  • More bug-fixes with platform withdrawing,
  • Scroll-bar added to island selection for mobile users,
  • Virtual Gearwork no-longer works with its Gearwork-counterparts.

Latest Changes,

  • Fixed an issue with layout loading,
  • Reverted parts of layout code to an older version to help reduce ping spikes,
  • Advanced Reborn rarity is slightly increased when skipping lives (1/5th of what it used to be),
  • Quick fixes to remaining remodelled items,
  • Item Mastery properly unloads icons when closing,
  • Fixed a soft lock when purchasing Reborn items from the Craftsman,
  • Fixed issues with beginner players not being able to access the Easter menu,
  • Visual bug when loading/saving layouts is fixed,
  • The Void is properly accessible again.
