Hello, hello, everyone!
For approximately one month of development, I had this solo project of a prototype similar to Undermine (Steam):
Called Mini Caverns, it is a game of mining and dungeon, your goal is to obtain everything you can and return to the surface to refine and sell it to improve your things.
You can go alone or in a group, fight creatures and explore the different biomes.
Ignore the quality and I still don’t have a design.
Current mechanics
Like Undermine, a small labyrinth of connected rooms will be generated by doors.
Each room will have a different variant: different floor, resources and enemies (soon)

The player can break rocks with their pickaxe or bombs:

The player can break boxes and barrels to obtain resources or minerals:

Open closed doors with a key:

Open secret rooms only with a bomb:

And, of course, another level if you find the exit.
Soon
Enemies:
- Mentioned before, they have their probability depending on the room.
- They can drop useful items for crafts.
Inventory & Crafting:
- The player will obtain different items of boxes, chests or enemies that can combine to make healing objects, refined minerals, better food, etc.
Food:
- The player will have 2 stats: food and health.
- If it has more than 80%, it will have slow regeneration
- If it’s empty, the player will lose life.
Relics, blessings and curses:
- Relics: one will be minimal per level, give advantages to the player until die or leave the mine, they can be manually eliminated or for some game event.
- Blessings: similar to relics, they give better advantages and cannot be eliminated manually or by events.
- Curses: negative effects for the player, can be eliminated with some events.
Hub:
- Surface above the mine.
- You can refine minerals, do things with them and sell them.
- A store to improve equipment.
- More stuff…
Final:
- You will run 3-5 levels until you reach a room with 3 exits, each to a different biome.
- To return to a specific biome you must pay (with in-game cash) a mine wagon, the price will depend on the biome, the same method to return without dying.
Future ideas
- Craft potions.
- Bosses.
- Trade between players.
