I’m not sure tat this is the right place to post this but please help
You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:
-
What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
I need to find my game file that has my models that I KNOW I saved it even auto saved multiple times!
-
What is the issue? Include enough details if possible!
I went into my published game that contains my models I have been working on, I cannot find the models I was working on last night. They are completely gone and I can’t find them in files on my desktop in-case I might have worked on them in those instead. But I cannot find them and I know i saved and even saw an auto save pop up on the bottom of my screen.
- What solutions have you thought of so far?
I have tried looking it up and I can’t find much. And I don’t know if there’s any way to access auto-save files or anything like that…Please help I NEED those models and I worked hours on them. I preferably don’t feel like wasting tons more hours just to loose them again.
Again HELP PLEASE!!!

Look through recent files maybe.
As you said that it auto-saved the baseplate, it saves throughout your Desktop’s files!
To find it, search the file’s name, “ROBLOX”, then it will appear three more files:
-
AutoSaves:
- File containing all of the games that were auto-saved while you were editing at ROBLOX Studio.
-
ModelFiles:
- File containing all of the assets (models) you created and saved on your desktop.
-
RecentSaves:
- File containing all of the games you saved in the ROBLOX Studio’s file.
> Select the first option, AutoSaves…
Now, once opening, make sure to see the modified data, and analyze when it last auto-saved.
Alternative Way:
Another alternative you can do is to head to the experience, and select the option “Configure Place”. Moreover, go to the section “Version History”, select the previous version that had the models appearing, and download the version:

There must be something different with my version history otherwise I’m doing this wrong because I’ve gone down a few and reverted and they’ve ALL been the SAME. Any reason why it’s not changing?
And the only file in “ROBLOX” is an ‘Autosaves’ file and nothing else
@JuanGamerPlayz_RBLX I’m in for anything to help find my models but after looking through the versions and trying a few they are all the same and I don’t know why. But I feel at this point it’s better to remake them even though I don’t want to end up doing that, but if I have to… I suppose I can.
