The new publishing requirements should be as follows:
Publishing games without age estimated face: Only public to you and friends
Publishing games with age estimated face: Game is public for everyone. (All ages).
I would also like to request the removal of roblox plus subscription as a requirement to publish games to users of all ages.
The whole reason as to why roblox developers choose roblox other than any other game development platform, is because of how free it is compared to other places like unity, You can publish your game publicly to any ages for free.
Essentially, you’re cutting off a large percentage of users that games can get. 99% of roblox games already have very low active users. It’s safe to assume most developers will not buy roblox plus and therefore this update will kill alot of roblox games especially the new and upcoming games and the ones that are mainly oriented towards children.
all this update is doing is making roblox lose an abundance of current revenue and potential future revenue (which would be alot).
Age verification estimate has already kept roblox very safe. All these new publish requirements are doing is making a very large percentage of developers quit roblox which in turn makes the company lose a very large percentage of money aswell. There is no benefit to this. This isn’t improving safety at all.
Developers and roblox should work together, all the update is doing is removing the voice of developers. There is no partnership anymore. It feels as if you guys just want to do whatever you want.
Here’s an example of a developer who have already decided to quit because of this change. Under the announcement of this new update, there are millions of others who have also decided to quit but for time I will just link a few.
Some have been developing and supporting roblox for years many many years. Very loyal developers who really care about roblox, and now they’ve also decided to leave the platform due to the change. Roblox will lose alot of revenue and developers from this:

This is by far one of the worst updates roblox has ever created in its entire lifetime and this request isnt just optional it’s like the only option left to stop a huge amount of developers leaving the platform. For both roblox’s sake and developers’ sake, engage as much as you can with this.
