Mony Merging Update 4.5 - Changelog

Alright, this is the first major changelog that I am posting because of all of the things I added.

  • Made contest prompts stay for longer.
  • Contests no longer give players the same plot if they join at nearly the same time.
  • Players will not be yeeted if they join a contest while being in a tornado.
  • Gear tab is now the default inventory tab.
  • Players are more likely to spawn in the merging area even if it is a little rainy.
  • Rebalanced the Malachite map on Rocket Bobux Arena.
  • Journal discovery bar no longer goes beyond 100% if you’ve discovered some mony that isn’t part of the journal yet.
  • Obbies are now accessible.
  • Weegee Mony is now quieter.
  • Increased the size of lightning hitbox.
  • Added an activation cooldown to printer ink.
  • Made the volcano time slightly shorter.
  • Readded tornado variants!
  • New worth system - Mony worths now increase by powers of two in order to prevent duping Mony when upgrading using higher-value Mony.
  • Upgrade time is much longer and failing an upgrade will result in less wait time between upgrades.
  • Alien invasion is verified to not abduct your Special Mony.
  • Picking up token bags now gives you a message on how many tokens you picked up.
  • Wrench and void sentry gears can no longer be duped.
  • Plonko dropper now moves smoothly, which increases the game’s randomness.
  • Arcade machines now have a tickets system - you have a limited number of tickets and one is used per play. You can earn the tickets by merging.
  • Improved visual quality of certain machines.
  • Fixed text clipping off of Mony Journal text boxes. It also now properly scales when changing the Y scale of your game window. This does not apply to all text boxes and does not apply to UIStrokes yet.
  • Made the plinko jackpot slanted so that it’s more difficult to win.
  • Small adjustments to the Contest Rewards upgrade.
  • Readded the Tumbleweed Mony Race!
  • Contests now properly show a message if the game has tied.
  • Safes now give a token reward for being opened and will display the amount of tokens awarded. Tokens only go to the player who got the final click.
  • New “Row A” on the vending machine. This row has permanent upgrades that include increasing gear slots and walkspeed!
  • Nerfed the Soccer Safe.
  • Added missing Special/Normal Mony journal entries to the journal.
  • Mythical Special Mony chat spawns now properly display their color gradient.
  • Added chat messages that trigger when players join and leave the game.
  • (Hopefully) Fixed an issue where lasers could spawn the highest tier in the game. (oopsie)
  • Nerfed Mony Tree.
  • Added another Normal Mony tier.
  • New walkspeed priority system. It should be much cleaner than before so no bugs are possible if you were to touch something like a What? Mony at the same time you drank a soda or upgraded walkspeed.
  • Added a short, forced, non-intrusive tutorial that shows how to merge and upgrade when playing the game on top of the current detailed tutorial.
  • Added new NPCs to the lounge. One of which will give a quest for an item.
  • Increased the brightness of a few chat tags.
  • Added a new way to obtain the laser visor.
  • New Laser Gun gear that can be obtained by being in a server with me or completing a quest if you already have the Laser Visor.
  • Enemies can no longer attack you when they’re dead.
  • Merging Helpers no longer attempt to merge Mony that is in the truck.
  • New starter upgrade that allows token bags to spawn. The Merging Helper upgrade was moved to be the final starter upgrade instead.
  • Contests can no longer be cheated with higher walk speed.
  • Weather icons now have a little rotation animation when hovering over them.
  • Reworked upgrades internally.
  • All new upgrade tree as well as 10+ new upgrades. All old upgrades will be refunded to some extent.
  • Super upgrades have been removed from the game for now, but all of the new ones will return in a future update.
  • Smoother effect for the upgrade barrier when it gets enabled and disabled.
  • Added R15 support for the trombone gear.
  • Reworked Mony Boxes - Mony Boxes have cooler animations, require multiple clicks to open, and have been rebalanced!
  • Doubled the range of the Raygun.
  • The Raygun gear now deals damage to enemies.
  • Renamed a couple of rarities.
  • Added Mony placeholders for rarities that don’t have a Special Mony for them yet. (Thanks, @Ytwhyas245476!)
  • Added a new normal Mony tier.
  • The Upgrades menu now displays any required upgrades to an upgrade if there are any.
  • Fixed the possibility of Mony getting stuck on the lounge roof.
  • Fixed the bug where Mony would get stuck in the Merging Area walls. This must’ve been caused by some sort of physics update.
  • Removed the light rain music until further notice. I want to ensure songs are properly attributed, even if this is a small game, and this music artist isn’t super clear on how they want their music used.
  • Readded the original rain music. Hooray!
  • Updated credits page to ensure that credits to music used is correctly attributed
  • Getting struck by lightning now shocks you instead of inflicting instant damage.
  • Text color of the rarity display on in the Special Mony tab of the Mony Journal now shows rarity color.
