Most realistic vitals monitoring system on the DevForum

Hey there. My name is Glyptical (aka Cole) and i’m currently an EMT-B. I was bored and decided to make a vitals monitor, and it very well may be the most realistic on the platform currently. It has the ability to detect the players basic vitals signs (Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, Blood Pressure, SpO2, and EtCO2)

It also has the ability to detect different cardiac rhythms such as Ventricular Tachycardia, Ventricular Fibrillation, Atrial Fibrillation, etc. The vital signs respond accordingly to the player and how they move (walking, jumping, resting, etc) and to the different cardiac dysthymias.

come back when it can actually display my real-life vitals.. smh

jokes aside this is really cool, are you gonna use this for anything or is it just a project? would be cool for a horror game or something where you pass out if you exert yourself too much or something

Don’t have any intended uses for this right now. Mostly just a project so I could try to learn cardiology better.

This is amusingly indepth- What walkspeed does a humanoid need to have a heart attack?

common misconception. a heart attack is actually when a coronary artery is blocked by a clot (could be a blood clot or plaque build up), but hypertension (high blood pressure) is a risk factor of it. if you run/walk more in life you’re actually less prone to get a heart attack!

guess ill just die then
