Motor6D, Welds and Hierarchy Importance

Hi all,
I have a small clarifying question I was hoping to have answered in short notice. I hope that doesn’t challenge the purposes of the DevForum.

With regard to Motor6D, Welds, and other inter-object links, do the positions of the constraining elements matter within the Explorer hierarchy? Is it simply good form to put them under the parent object?

Regards,
Cyton

AFAIK, it doesn’t matter. The only thing that is of importance is that they are descendants of the same WorldModel or workspace, and that they are descendants of a WorldModel or of a workspace. Otherwise, physics won’t be simulated and the constraints won’t work.

In laymen’s terms, in the same game.

No, that’s the DataModel. WorldModel is another thing which contains WorldModels and the workspace and also stimulates physics.
