My account was banned because “Your alt account broke the rules.” I have no connection to this account. I checked all my friends’ lists, including my close friends, and I didn’t find any accounts with names starting with “br.” I submitted one request, but it was rejected. I submitted a second request and am awaiting results.

still havent got unbanned my 3 appeals got rejected waiting for answer on my 4 appeal

I think it is saying the accounts are linked by being verified under the same email, phone number, or signed in under the same IP, rather than someone on your friends list. Try checking if you have any alt accounts under your email and if one got banned. Additionally, if you sign into Roblox using public Wi-Fi, this can happen if a user who gets banned signs in under that same network.

no i dont know this account that got linked to me, i been using vpn cuz i live in russia maybe its why i got terminated, i have no alts on my mail

i using good vpn because i had to use mostly like 24/7
The primary account directly responsible for the violation can still receive the full enforcement action, including permanent moderation when necessary. However, linked accounts should not automatically inherit the same outcome without additional review.
A proportional system would be more appropriate, where linked accounts receive reduced actions, warnings, temporary restrictions, or a separate evidence-based review depending on their own activity history.
This distinction is especially important because Roblox previously allowed multiple accounts to share the same email, which can create technical links that do not always reflect shared responsibility. The same concern applies to VPN usage, shared households, schools, cafés, or public networks where unrelated players may appear connected.
A more policy-driven separation between the original violating account and technically linked accounts would improve fairness while still maintaining platform safety.
I hope the moderation and policy teams can consider reviewing this area, as improving proportionality and transparency here would significantly strengthen player trust in the enforcement system.

yeah that explains it, exploiters and other bad actors use vpns to access roblox too, you got unlucky that they chose the same vpn provider as you and you got caught up in their ip ban
