My childs account was banned

My minor childs account was banned. We are linked through “Trusted friends” though I wish there was a way to verify as parent/guardian. He was banned on the 7th, so we only have until August 7th to appeal? How many times is too many times to send an appeal? Yes, we are appealing through his account with the form on Roblox.

He has not received a human response. He takes random screenshots of his game/chat, but I do not see a way to include pictures into the appeal.

He was talking about fireworks, and got banned? It has an “image” in the report but we cannot see it. Is there a way to view it?

Please do not close this. I know “contact appeals/support” but I’m curious if there’s another way to view the actual evidence, and how many times we can appeal.. Is there a better way? AI doesn’t even respond. We get the “verification” of submission, but never anything else.

Thank you.

Do you have like any screenshot of the ban itself?

You should see on the ban screen when trying to log in an actual page including info on why he was banned, and specific content related to such.

Something like:

As for not being able to see the image, that’s pretty common. Roblox (for some reason) just displays the actual asset there, so if it gets moderated or removed, you basically lose the ability to see what was reported unless Support sends it to you during the appeal.

As for appeals… yeah, there’s sadly not really a go-around. Support is basically the only option. I also wouldn’t keep repeatedly sending appeals every day, since that’s probably just going to bury things more than help.

If you’re an EU resident, Roblox also has a DSA point of contact at eu-dsa-spoc@roblox.com. If you believe your appeal is only being handled through AI you can “call-out” your rights under the DSA there and request a review consistent with the DSA’s complaint-handling requirements… Under the DSA, decisions on complaints/appeals can’t be made solely through automated means, so if you genuinely believe it’s just being auto-processed, it’s worth mentioning in your appeal.

My child received two severe warnings for writing in the Bi Bi Bi chat. If I had received the third one, the account would most likely have been deleted along with everything that is there. Roblox is no longer a place where you can play and have fun, Roblox is a place where you will leave the last nerves and lose a lot of time.
Besides, Roblox no longer has a support service, and an automated bot responds to requests with email templates. “We have reviewed all the evidence and there is nothing we can do to help”

Thank you. Unfortunately, we are USA.. EU seems so much nicer to handle appeals with.

His ban page has an ID thing but no link to see what it is. It says “Banned” but no timer. Says he did repeated or serious rule-breaking. I had no idea fireworks were against TOS?

If your appeal gets denied, just keep sending them though. Roblox has a duty to fairly moderate all cases and if they are failing to do so you should not stop sending appeals.

I recently read this post and it may have some relevence to you case, Account got hacked [Roblox support has been no help]. (you dont have to read everything but skimming over it shows how someone got their account back using support). In the thread attatched it shows that they contact a real human (or atleast thats what it appears as)

I am truely sorry you have to deal with roblox support, as it has got to be one of the worst systems out of every support system.

It’s so crazy.. Especially when the parents/guardians are present. I totally understand banning when they mess up, but there needs to be a better way to alert family/guardians.

They treat everyone in this way, whether it’s game developers, just players, their parents, or anyone else. This is their style, they consider themselves entitled to do whatever they want on their platform.

Is that an actual viable option? my account was termed for off platform selling and roblox support said that their decision is final, so im kinda out of options rn

Oh! I forgot that he got real people to respond twice.

The first one told him to fill out a different form, then a second one wrote and said he used the wrong E-Mail and to redo the form. That was over a week ago. We did the form together with the right E-Mail.

I’m not sure about the chatbot, though, since he wasn’t hacked.

DSA really isn’t a solution to appeals as much as its a “petition” for human handling of appeals which Roblox should follow, otherwise they’re breaking laws within the EU…

Most of the times it’s not as much a chatbot as it is a case of using a template to respond with. Even with cases of humans handling appeals, there really is no way of forcing them to be fully impartial. In other words, its a person filling in the blank of your username with a wrong-email template.

Lowk most of the time you don’t even get emailed about violations as a regular user, the only ones I really have on my email box are for developer-related stuff…

ig that could be a whole topic in-of-itself.

Gotta love the guessing game!

I’m thinking about trying one more time.. It’s been 10 days already, so maybe in another week? I don’t want to seem impatient, but it’s getting to that desperation part.. We’ve put a lot of time and money into his account.

I see. My case is a very complicated one, as AI would never give me the light of day (check it out at Developer Account with 20M+ Robux terminated for buying a comission if youre interested) so I might have to try my luck with anything possible

I wondered if it thought you were buying an off-platform commission? I did read your post after I wrote mine, and it’s absolutely wild.

As far as I can tell, it’s just the AI flagging me for obvious reasons. Its just that im supprised that I as someone with an Account that has gotten E-mails in the past for devs (I also devexed about 15K USD) is getting 0 real support at all. I honnestly have barely any hope left that im getting out of this, but im still just gonna resort to sending out Apeals every now and then just to see what happens.

I knew that buying a expensive comission that way was not smart, but the most i expected was the robux being voided along with a 7/14 Day ban

That is insane for real. I am so sorry this is happening (and I wish I could afford to commission someone talented like you!).

I just find it wildly unfair that Roblox treats its users this way. Once you put significant time and/or money into any platform, it just seems common sense to treat the user with dignity.

Yeah… I think that’s unfortunately the biggest issue here.

A ~350k one-way Game Pass purchase is probably one of the easiest ways to make a legitimate commission payment look like off-platform Robux trading. Once you get into that kind of amount, I can definitely see why Roblox’s systems would flag it, especially given how strict they’ve become around off-platform sales.

As for the appeal, I’d avoid repeatedly submitting new tickets while your current one is still waiting. If you keep getting what appears to be an automated response, then I’d follow up with another appeal instead. Since you’ve already included the chat logs and proof of the commission, you’ve pretty much given Support the best evidence you can.

If you do receive what appears to be an automated response, then I’d send a follow-up appeal from there. If you’re covered by the DSA, that’s also the point where I’d explicitly request a human review.

…and honestly, the fact you DevEx’d around $15k doesn’t really change how the moderation systems look at an individual transaction…

Im trying to point out that It’s pretty crazy how developers on this platform get as much support as someone that made their account a day ago.

The scale of your account doesn’t matter to an automated flagger. The system only sees a massive, suspicious-looking transaction pattern and reacts based on the rules it was given.

Roblox has a way US users can send them a letter to try to resolve issues. MIDR process in the Terms somewhere.

Maybe that can help. It is a guessing game unfortunately. Hope your child can be unbanned or more reason given.
