My experiences received reduced exposure — no clear reason given, even after updates

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because four of my experiences are currently under a reduced exposure penalty (restricted from Home, Search, and Charts), and I genuinely can’t figure out why — especially since I’ve actively worked to improve all of them.

The affected experiences:

Experience 1
127948410410007
Experience 2
132997820251239
Experience 3
140409136006190
Experience 4
15617022837
Here’s what concerns me: I received no violation notice, no email, and no in-dashboard explanation. The penalty just appeared. According to Roblox’s own Creator Guidelines, reduced exposure should come with actionable feedback so developers can actually fix the issue — that didn’t happen here.

I’ve since gone through each experience, reviewed them against the Community Standards, and made meaningful improvements. The reduced exposure is still there.

What I’m asking for:

If there’s a specific violation — tell me what it is so I can address it properly.
If the penalty was applied in error or the issue has been resolved — please lift the restriction.
Transparency on how reduced exposure is triggered and communicated to creators.
I’ve been building on this platform for years and I take compliance seriously. I’m not here to argue — I just want to understand what happened and fix it the right way.

Has anyone else experienced unexplained reduced exposure after updating their experience? Any advice on how to escalate this properly would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mostafa — Black Monsters Studios

Hi @Mosta3mn,

Certain issues can reduce visibility or prevent your content from being recommended, including:

  • Non-unique experiences: Experiences with metadata and place files that closely resemble existing experiences on Roblox are no longer prioritized for recommendations and might rank lower in search results.
    • Metadata includes your icon, thumbnails, description, and title
  • Mismatched metadata and content: Metadata and content that is highly mismatched is not recommended to users and is less visible in search results.
    • Mismatched metadata includes misleading content such as bait and switch, false advertisement, etc.
  • Leading with giveaways: Metadata that implies any type of monetary reward is not prioritized for recommendations

The reduced exposure warnings on your experiences:

have been reviewed and are functioning as intended.

Please review the best practices here for more details.

Thank you for the breakdown.

I want to address each point directly:

Non-unique experiences: All four experiences were built entirely from scratch by me. They are not copies or remakes of any existing experience on the platform. The place files, mechanics, and structure are original work done under Black Monsters Studios.

Mismatched metadata: The metadata accurately reflects the actual content of each experience. Titles are in Arabic as the games target an Arabic-speaking audience, and the descriptions clearly explain what each experience contains. There is no misleading content, bait and switch, or false advertising of any kind.

Giveaways: None of the experiences contain any language implying monetary rewards, giveaways, or any form of real-world compensation — not in the title, description, thumbnails, or in-game content.

I understand these are the listed possible reasons, but based on my honest review of all four experiences, none of them apply. These games are clean, updated, and fully compliant with Roblox’s Community Standards.

I also want to raise an important concern: all four experiences are Arabic-language games targeting an Arabic-speaking audience. I believe the automated moderation system may have been unable to correctly evaluate the Arabic metadata and content, potentially flagging them incorrectly as non-unique or mismatched — not because of an actual violation, but because the system may not fully support Arabic language detection. This is likely why the warning was applied without a clear or specific reason.

With that said, I would like to formally request a manual human review of all four experiences:

  • 127948410410007
  • 132997820251239
  • 140409136006190
  • 15617022837

If the review confirms there is no active violation, I kindly ask that the reduced exposure be lifted so these experiences can be recommended normally again. If something specific is found, please let me know exactly what it is and I will fix it immediately.

I appreciate your time and I hope this can be resolved fairly.

Thank you.

Hi @Mosta3mn, your experiences have been human reviewed multiple times and the reduced exposure warning is functioning as intended.

As mentioned in the documentation, experiences with metadata (including icon, thumbnails, description and title) and place files that closely resemble existing experiences on Roblox are no longer prioritized for recommendations.

Even if you have created these from scratch, if they are very similar to existing platform content, they are still considered non-unique.

I have closed this ticket. Please update your experiences to trigger a re-review.

Hello,

Can you please forward my experience for human review? I’ve had this reduced exposure warning for months and I don’t know how to fix it.

Hi @K0ll3x , I took a look at your experience and can confirm that the feature is working as expected. As a reminder, experiences leading with giveaway, (meaning images, thumbnails, description, etc) are not prioritized for recommendations. Particularly experiences focusing on monetary rewards.

Full list of issues can be found here

if I change my thumbnails, icon and whatever else needs to be changed will the flag be removed?

Hello, I’ve also had a big drop in ccu since these past 2-3 days and nothing was updated between 4/5/2026 and this morning. I’ve checked everything in the discovery documentation and I dont fall into the aspects that could of made my game get out of recommendations.

Here’s my universeid, would appreciate if anyone could take a look: 9791684697 @skpm_plz @Th3_avocad0
