My Feed Quotations "Redundancy"

This isn’t a serious issue, it’s barely noticeable for anyone. But when feed posts have quotations, some thing harmless has an odd tone when read. What I mean is similar to:

So when posts like this happen:

They come across as attention seeking or the opposite of the original meaning.

And when post like this happen:

It looks like you’re quoting yourself.

It comes down to a redundancy of the use of quotation marks. We all know that user is the one who’s talking because their name is beside it. It’s deductive reasoning. Facebook and Twitter don’t have quotations around posts for this reason.

Like I said, this is an extremely minor thing. Just thought I’d “share.”

"I was wondering what you were talking about at first, but then I realized you were talking about the feed on the homepage. I barely use that thing since the homepage was updated so I kind of forgot it existed. Nor did I realize it had quotes around it.

But yeah, it’s odd."

“Yeah, generally speaking don’t use quotation marks outside of, well, actual quotes or dialog. It does look kind of stupid.”
