Hello! This is my very first gfx creation! I actually made this in one day and I think it turned out pretty good. I used blender 2.79, sketchbook, and pixlr E! Feedback, comments, and more would be appreciated! Thanks!
Posing isn’t good… imrpove on that
lighting isn’t good either
The arms seem too long…
also, that person is standing on AIR my guy
normally it would be showing uptil torso.
make him hold a rose.
watermark isn’t visible
im surprised you say you used blender,
this seems like a low quality roblox studio GFX.
and yeah that’s it
rating: 3/10
My watermark is visible. Could you elaborate on that please?
The character is floating. The character is headless too which makes it look odd.
Shine/Particle on the back isn’t the best.
How the character position… his poster isn’t realistic.
The lighting for the character isn’t good.
Low-poly parts and not low-poly parts.
Text shadowing is fishy.
The watermark isn’t the best visible. Part of it cut off by the text on top. (Not bad really, but keep that in mind… keep in mind that there shouldn’t be anything that cuts part of the watermark)
The text is very detailed while everything else isn’t really.
Rating: 2.5/10 Sorry!
How could I improve my lighting?
I understand where you are coming from with the lighting as you would want to show the light coming from the Particle/Light in the back, but it makes the character have a shadow in front of him. With everything super light, the character being shaded, doesn’t help the cause to make the gfx “pop”.
Hmmm, I did add a sun in front of the character in blender
You could just rotate the character away from the sun and see if that can make the problem disappear!
So put the sun in the back of the character?
I am not a GFX designer, but this GFX looks good to me. I am not sure why a few people were being picky about it, despite it being your very first GFX. For a first GFX, this looks great. Keep it up!
Thank you! They’re not being picky, they’re just giving constructive criticism. =)
anyone could easily steal it. its too small. At first, I didn’t even notice da damn watahrmark.
Ah okay. Will make it bigger next time
The shirt matching the background looks a bit odd so maybe making it a different shade would be better, try to make the arm bend a bit as it looks stiff and robotic sticking it just out.
Its very nice, but you should probably touch up on the lighting and maybe adjust the pose.
The rest such as the background fits nicely and the text/logo in my eyes seems to fit.
Pretty good. But you should use rigs.
Also, improve the lighting. Give him something to stand on, and i think that is all.
Keep it up!
How do I improve the lighting? I’m kinda new to blender and I used a sun.
Yeah I got kinda sloppy cause I did the pose in roblox studio, and I should’ve done it in blender.
I’d recommend using a HDRI. There are many sites that serve you good HDRI’s. You can use maybe like a sunset HDRI and that will make it look better.
Wait so after I render the character, do I put it into the HDRI?
