I’ve made my first game, Gem Island, an extremely simple tycoon. There’s really not much to it, the name of the game is to top everyone else on the rebirths leaderboard or take the time to expand your little home instead.
I’d like some honest feedback, but keep in mind this was really just a learning experience about actually making a Roblox game, not a front page project. But if you enjoy it, tell me why! It will help me in the future if I make more games.
This is a good start! I don’t want to harshly criticize, because as you said, its just made to be a starting project for the experience of making a game.
One thing I’ll say I really like though was there being actual nature. A lot of tycoon scenery is just open empty spaces, low poly buildings, etc.
Since tycoons are just a waiting game at certain points- it was nice to see an actual scenic environment. (Plus the house you build over the course of the tycoon fits into it well)
If you ever do something like this again, I’d build on that! Make terrain of different heights, add other things to break up the trees, etc.
Other then that though, this is good! Good job on getting started!

Hey, For your first game not bad
But for a Tycoon game, you skipped some of the significant features that make tycoon games what they are. One of them is the ability to see other players’ progress.
Now you may notice that most tycoon games possess this feature which allows players to see where their tycoons would end up providing them with an end goal to achieve. Maybe If I had explored a bit I would have seen other players’ tycoons so I recommend you put an indicator to where each player’s building is or a teleport system that takes them to other people’s tycoons.
Also, I recommend you differentiate the buttons that are decorations and the buttons that increase a player’s earnings and also make players know the requirements that’ll enable them to rebirth

why is the teleport to lobby button there even when im loading

Just fixed the teleport button, it will wait a moment after the loading screen then pop up. Also, I have received several requests from personal friends to have the option for pressing E or stepping on the button.
