So, I created this UI in about 20 minutes or so for a NPC dialogue system for my game, and I am looking for feedback.
I’m not really a UI designer, more so a scripter (that’s my job for the game), but I decided to try it out for fun.
I’ve got some mixed opinions on the results, but overall I’d say it’s OK.
What do you guys think? (please go easy on me )
I love the smoothness of the animation, here’s some of my suggestions.
- You can probably increase the size of the dialog text, it looks a little small. And even the thickness of the text. Other than that it is a pretty well made dialog box great work!
I didn’t want to make it too big (as it’s already taking it more space than you’d imagine, actually), as I feel like it would be too… impactful(?) on the eyes, I guess.
But wouldn’t that make it hard to see the options when over a bright surface etc?
I put them all into 1 big frame holder as the frame holder has a dark fade color, sort of blurring out the background and making the text stand out more.
Yeah that make sense, but why not putting them separately in their own box (not transparent).

I too think that the tween is a bit too fast, but through past experience I realized that people really hate it when they have to wait too long when doing something… So I had to haste it up
Its ok, it was just a suggestion, your UI is very well made i like it.
It doesn’t mean that if someone said that you should update it means that you must do it, do it as you like, its your game after all.
