Hi!
Today I decided to make a user interface for my game but I am not that expert in this since I am more dedicated to construction
I tried to make a menu for my game
and I imagined it like this
But give me your opinion on how I can improve it What do I want to achieve?:
A very good or player-friendly user interface
This interface is divided into:
. Adventure
. Single player
. Events
. Garage to tune your car
Note: this interface is BETA so the design may be changed and it is not yet the official one for the game) Thanks for reading - murjarquitecto
Good job on your first design. One thing you could improve on is making the colours a bit more bright and vibrant, the dark colours look a little bit dull.
Great layout, however your frames look really dull. Making the colours have more “contrast” or be more vibrant would just highlight the plainness of them, in contrary to some of the suggestions here.
If you want professional user interface, you need detail. Having a plain rectangles isn’t very enticing for players to click on!
I found this example on google images, and it shows what can be done. In addition, you can give them textures such as metal, or wood, to add even more interest. Whatever matches the theme of your game more.
And then I add texture to it to match the rest of my UI set.
With all that said, that UI is really good for your first try. It was worlds better than my first try, that’s a certain. I have no doubt you will be turning out some top notch quality UI that any game would want implemented.
Edit: Forgot to mention it’s extremely hard to make UI look really great on studio alone (though some people got the hang of it!). It is much easier to make your UI on an external art program such as Photoshop or Fire Alpaca, and then importing it into studio.
The main thing that people haven’t touched apon yet is the scaling/positioning of the individual frames. I think your UI would look tons better if the one player was the same height as adventure and events was the same height a garage and they where all aligned so it looked much more planned out grid like.
