My game got shadowbanned

Game become invisible and CCU dropped %90

My name is Uygi (@Uygi1234) and I am the developer of the experience RoLive, a game that you can live stream; which has +12M visits.

What happened

On 2025-08-15, I noticed my experience was no longer appearing in homepage/search/discovery.
The concurrent users dropped from ~100 to ~5.
At the same time, I observed a sudden spike in client crash rate in Creator Dashboard.

Since RoLive includes user-made maps, one of them may have caused client crashes, which I believe is the reason behind the spike.

I believe that Roblox shadow bans games that have performance issues. I’ve added screenshots of the graphs that shows the performance issues.

From my perspective, the game might have been affected by an automatic filter/discovery restriction due to the crash spike.

Actions I have taken

  • Removed the maps that I believe had memory leaks and were causing crashes.
  • Checked performance graphs and captured error stack traces.

Why I am posting

I wanted to share my situation so others are aware, and also to ask if anyone else has experienced something similar. I would also appreciate suggestions from the community on how to handle cases like this.

Thanks for reading, I am looking for your suggestions.

You could try to reach out to roblox support and see if they can give you any further information.

It appears that anyone who did the Maturity & Compliance Questionnaire and labelled their game as a social hangout have gotten shadow banned. Happened to my game too.

Have the Same Problem for my Twitter based game

That might be because of the current circumstances surrounding the whole pdf issue within social hangouts…

Yeah, seems like nothing related to crash rates. It’s just Roblox enabling new security features. I’ll try to appeal it as admins say its the only way.. Looks like I also recieved a message from Roblox when it happened:
