I’m facing a challenge with my game Carry a Monkey ( 2 player obby) and could really use some advice from developers who’ve been through this.
The game has been out for about a month and a half. Our launch was strong—we peaked at almost 1,000 CCU and were really excited.
But lately, our player count is falling off hard, even though we’ve been pushing weekly updates with new content and fixes. It feels like our updates aren’t enough to keep players interested or bring them back. I know this is a common problem, but it’s tough to figure out the next step.
So, I’m looking for some honest feedback:
What are we most likely missing?
Should we focus less on new content and more on improving core gameplay or retention?
How do you make sure your updates actually bring players back?
Any tips or thoughts would be a huge help. Thanks for your guys time.
Hey! I tried the game with a friend and here are my thoughts:
The start of the game feels slow and a bit boring. The idea itself is great and has a lot of potential, but as a new player it doesn’t grab attention right away.
Having 100 players is still a solid player base (While not perfect). I recommend checking Roblox analytics if you haven’t already. They can show exactly where players tend to drop off or lose interest.
In most 2-player obbys the buggy physics end up being funny. Things like flying out of the map or random glitches make the experience entertaining, at least for me and my friends.
Overall, the game looks really good. You’re doing a solid job. Keep in mind I only played a little, so my review might not be perfect. From what I saw, it needs more action and goofy elements players can mess around with. Right now it feels too calm, which kids often see as boring.
Hello, thank you for your feedback, i agree with you, the beginning its pretty boring which i tried to make the level more ingaging while still making them easy but it didnt seem to help, also what do you find about the level in the beginninga bit slow and how could i improve them to be a bit more fun if you have suggestion.
