My games were stolen and now $8500 USD is Not Eligible for DevEx

Not really sure where else to ask this, but I’m hoping someone here has seen this before.

4 weeks ago my Roblox account was hacked. Credit where it’s due, Roblox Support helped me recover the account and restored 680,000 Robux that was taken during the hack.

The problem is that two of my games were also stolen during the hack and still haven’t been restored.

They were originally owned directly by my profile, not by a group. During the compromise they were moved away from my account and they are now sitting under a locked group.

Hatch Puppies

+1 Speed Wheelchair Escape

Current locked group

Since the games were taken, they also seem to have been moderated/taken down. I’m not sure what caused this, or why the group that now owns them was locked, but these moderation issues happened after the games were stolen and while they were out of my control.

Because of this, I am now unable to DevEx roughly 2,000,000 Robux, around $8500 USD, that I had earned from the games. This feels unfair considering the Robux was earned while the games were still under my control and before any of this happened.

I opened a new support ticket specifically for the stolen experiences, but I’m still waiting and I’m not sure if this is something normal support can handle or if it needs to reach a more specific team.

I’m not trying to call anyone out or start drama. I’m just honestly pretty stuck and worried that the games are going to keep getting damaged before I can get them back.

Does anyone know the best way to make sure this reaches the right team at Roblox?

I can provide proof of ownership, transaction history, local files, screenshots and anything else needed if Roblox staff need it. I’m just not sure who to contact in order to do this.

Current support ticket ID: 177923343, in case anyone from Roblox is able to check the correct route for this.

It sounds like a joke. The support service doesn’t help anyone, but it did help you. And if it helped, then why this topic? Write to the support service.

because when i was hacked they stole my games, im thankful they recovered my account quickly but the games were the highest value thing that i lost. I have written to support multiple times with no luck, they dont seem to have the powers to revert a game transfer of ownership which is why i reached out with this forum to see if anyone knew who to contact

If the support service doesn’t have the authority, then who does? From the Lord God?

lucky you
i had 100k stolen, they only refunded 3600

roblox just doesn’t know how to interact with its playerbase and the very developers who bring them their money. but they DO know how to ban “vigilantes” in just a few minutes after they appear.

best of luck though

yeah from what I’ve seen elsewhere, unless you are a top dev with connections then its very difficult to get access to proper support. I understand Roblox is a massive platform so there cant be a specific human to review each case but it does feel like something needs to be done to improve it. Shame about your Robux, seems very harsh to only refund 3600.

they use their scale as an excuse to avoiding human moderation and reviews. but for this case, wouldn’t making a safety system be cheaper than having to refund and potentially have a lawsuit which comes with more costs.

they could real easily add a verification to purchases if you have any sort of 2FA, ESPECIALLY on a non-trusted device (which was the case, since I did check my logged in locations). but they act like getting hacked was a skill issue and you should learn from it to avoid it next time.

I’m definitely not a cyber security expert, but it does feel like there should be some sort of stronger protection around major account changes. Like if 2FA, passkeys, email, or enhanced security settings get changed, maybe purchases/transfers/experience ownership changes should be temporarily blocked or manually reviewed for a short period.

I know no system will ever be perfect, but a temporary lock after major security changes would probably stop a lot of damage before it happens.

Your account has no value for Roblox. Roblox itself can delete it at any time, along with all the contents, if its AI systems decide so.

How has people managed to even hack valuable accounts like yours?

github, of course. i don’t remember exactly what but the repo was taken down.
if you download the wrong thing, you very well can install (or just simply run) something that can steal either cookies, your passwords (unlikely since i got no 2FA notifications) or keylog you

Well not trying to conclude this is your fault, but considering the fact your account has things worth loads of value, you should’ve gotten 2FA notis

session (cookie) stealing bypasses that unfortunately, which is why they should require 2FA on unverified or suspicious devices (e.g from another country [in my case they were using Russian VPNs]) for any action that has to do with finances or with assets. better yet, they could make 2FA required for all purchases if 2FA is enabled on the account and the purchase value is above a certain amount or too many purchases are being made in a short period of time

if you are saying i should enable 2FA, i do have authenticator

Update:

I finally got a response from Roblox Support regarding the stolen experiences.

Unfortunately, after waiting for the review, they have said they are unable to offer restoration at this time, but no clear reason was given as to why.

I’ve attached the response below.

I’m honestly really confused and upset by this. Roblox accepted that my account was compromised and restored the stolen Robux, but the two experiences that were also taken during the same compromise are still not being restored.

I’ve replied asking for a proper written reason why the experiences can’t be returned, and I’ve also provided extra proof showing that sales from the games were linked directly to my account before the hack.

This situation feels really unfair. The games were taken while my account was compromised, then moderated/taken down while they were out of my control, and now the Robux earned from them is affected as well.

If anyone knows how to get this looked at by the right Roblox team, I’d really appreciate any advice.

Write to the same support service that helped you restore your account and return your Robux, they will undoubtedly help you again.

Update after doing more digging myself:

I’ve found something else that makes this situation even more worrying.

From what I can see, this may not just be one isolated case with my games. There appears to be a wider pattern where developer accounts are being compromised, experiences are moved or copied, and then access to those games is allegedly being sold cheaply for crypto through Discord servers.

My guess is that they are trying to make quick money from the games before they get moderated or the accounts involved get banned.

I also found what looks like a connection to another large game, Home Alone, which has had around 20k CCU. A copied version of Home Alone appears in the same group as a copied version of my stolen game. I spoke to one of the owners of this game earlier and he confirmed that the game had been stolen after the main owners account had been hacked.

The current 20k CCU version of Home Alone is also owned by a locked group named “We are the Developers 67”, which is extremely similar to the group name my games were moved into: “we’re the developers”.

This is exactly why I’m so desperate for the right team to review the historical ownership and transfer logs.

If the same people are repeatedly taking or selling access to high-CCU experiences, this feels like a much bigger creator safety issue than just one support ticket.

It’s honestly worrying that a developer account can be compromised, games can be transferred away, sold on, moderated while outside the original owner’s control, and then the original creator is left unable to get a clear answer from Support.

I’ve sent Roblox more evidence now, including transaction history, Creator Rewards payouts, Ads Manager history, Discord ownership proof, and screenshots showing the copied experiences.

Something needs to improve from a support and creator safety perspective, because from what I’m seeing, this is happening to more than just a few developers.

Welcome to Roblox, this is what happens when you let your developers be at the hand of an AI (and maybe some rare Illiterate workers)

Yes, you are Captain Obvious. Only Roblox doesn’t care about your games.

Sorry for bumping this thread again for anyone who has already read through it.

Today I opened another normal Roblox Support ticket to try, once again, to get my stolen experiences reviewed through the proper support route.

I was extremely clear in my email that the original compromise happened on 3 July, that I had already recovered the account, and that it was now fully secured.

I specifically wrote:

“This is not a request to regain access to my account… My account has already been recovered and secured.”

Despite that, Roblox Support then reset my account security configuration.

My Enhanced Protection was disabled and my authentication/security methods were removed, meaning I had to go back through my account and re-add my email and phone, restore my passkeys, generate new recovery credentials and turn Enhanced Protection back on.

But this seriously scared me.

I was contacting them about the two experiences that are still missing from the original July compromise.

I understand that account recovery systems sometimes need to reset security information when someone genuinely cannot access their account. But doing that to an account which the owner has explicitly stated is already recovered and secured feels like a serious support/security failure.

I really hope someone at Roblox looks into how this happened.

Uhhhhh… Theres no real human being “at Roblox”. We are all in the metaverse where everything and everyone is AI!
