I’m looking for some genuine help and honest feedback on a project I’ve been working on.
The Context: I released a version of this game previously, but it had a lot of bugs. Because of the technical issues, people didn’t play long, and the Roblox algorithm completely dropped it, and it never gained traction. I fixed a LOT of the bugs, made the game less laggy, and by that time roblox had already dropped it off, so I’m remaking it in a whole new place with fresh stats, fresh everything.
The Goal: Before I put any money into advertising or sponsoring this new version, I want to make sure the player experience is actually good. I don’t want to repeat the same mistake.
Don’t just tell me “It’s a mining game, it wont do well”. I’m not looking for 2k CCU. Not even 500. I just want a fun game for players who like mining games, because personally I love working on mining games and seeing people enjoy them too.
Please also note this is the testing version, please do not buy any gamepasses or anything, they’d work, but I’d still feel bad. I’ve already tested all of the passes and purchasable so do NOT spend your money.
My Ask: I’ve linked the Testing Server below. I need you to go in and let me know:
Are there any game breaking bugs?
Is the core loop fun, or does it get boring quickly?
tutorial doesnt finish and just repeats the same sentence and when i get ore it says i got +0 gems but in the main currency things (bottom right) it is the correct value
it gets boring quickly (the reason is in number 4)
the tutorial is confusing and very unspecific on what to do
there is not something bad, as the design and visuals are good looking, same for the animations
I did not play the game fully so ignore what you think i said was wrong
Hey! First of all, I wanted to say that I really enjoyed the game.
As general feedback, there are a few things that could perhaps be explained a little better. For example, the forge: at first, I had to guess how it worked. It’s not difficult once you understand it, but a short explanation or initial guidance would greatly help new players. (If it’s already explained somewhere and I missed it, that’s my fault).
While testing it, I found a small bug that you might be interested in checking out:
After interacting with an NPC, if I move a little away from them and then try to use the dialogue options again, the buttons don’t respond to clicks (nothing happens when I press them).
However, if I interact with the NPC and stay close to them, the options work correctly.
I recorded a short video showing the problem so you can see it better.
Great work on the game and best of luck with development!
