Hi everyone, I have just finished developing my NEW Showcase, The showcase name is called Barn Showcase I have been developing this game for a hour & I really want to thank @Mcdavid147797 for building the barn.
The showcase seems to be early in development I don’t think it’s fully complete since there’s no other objects around the terrain, consider placing more things instead of having the barn.
The place seems to empty to be called a showcase, try placing some hay bales against the barn or inside it to fill in the empty parts of the land I can see you used the diamond plate material I don’t think it matches with the building since a lot of barns are made with wood planks and should put more time into your showcase, remove some of the windows on the barn, especially all around the building.
I’d suggest adding pins to where the animals can stay, and adding more farm details and equipment like tractors, buildings: add a few details to your scene so it doesn’t have a plain design. It looks good at the start it just needs some refining.
If I had to be brutally honest this is mediocre at best. BUT, there is still hope for it! What Jordonh23 said was right, this is still in really early development still, people want to see thing’s that make them go wow and excite them, don’t get me wrong I really like the overall design of the barn, it feels almost like there is too little added. It is quite understandable considering that you may be new to building in general never be afraid to experiment more with your creations. Throw in some barn animals a lake where they may drink from, some trees not many but a sufficient amount, go wild with your creation but don’t go the extra mile.
I would also consider messing with the lightings until you’re at least at a level where you can say lightings are easy, lighting plays a huge roll in the main look of any game, it’s what helps bring out the aesthetic side of games, watch some youtube tutorials if need be, anything that makes you comfortable. Add some hues and blurs if need be.
At the very end of the day it’s all up to you, but you must also keep the viewers/players in mind as they want to be amazed by what they see, we all have potential and I’m sure just like many others on this platform, you are a star waiting to shine I can already see it (also try making the barn a bit smaller it takes up too much).
