My roblox launcher is broken and I cannot open the app thus being unable to play

I have attempted reinstalling, deleting then reinstalling, and other multiple times.

At this point, I’m completely lost on what to do.

If anyone has encountered a similar issue and solved it, tell me how.

Here’s what I already tried:
Clearing cache and reinstalling
Reinstalling through windows’ “Add or remove programs”
Reinstalling normally, MANY, MANY times.

I’m having the same issue, the microsoft store version works but the mouse behaves so weirdly there that I rather not play…

My roblox launcher seems completely fine, so it may be your OS that’s the issue. This might be an overkill but try factory resetting your computer

:warning: Keep in mind that this will delete everything on your computer’s storage; be sure to save any important files elsewhere first

A bug report might have to be created about this, it started happening after the recent Roblox update.
I hope it’s not like an AVX requirement that’s causing it to crash or something…

Edit 1: I made a bug report about it.
Edit 2: I found out there was already a bug report about it, I’ll never financially recover from this.

For my case it was on Mac. I tried checking the logs yesterday for launch errors and I found some HTTP-related ones and a “RenderView” one, and afterwards it stays stuck as a white screen until today. Even when launching a game it stays stuck as a white screen while game audio is being played. So, I also had to make a bug report about it since I didn’t see any reports related to Mac.
Judging from the logs the error might be HTTP-related (thus causing the UI/renderer to fail shortly afterwards?) but I’m not sure, especially since it’s just on Mac.

That is until I saw the other posts about the launcher. The weird thing is that one also had something to do with network, even if it’s from 13 days ago (but that problem might be on the user’s side instead). Additionally, outside Mac it seems it crashes instead, as this post and some other post have reported.

Though all of this is just from observation.

One of the Roblox staff members told me a few days ago that it’s due to my CPU lacking SSE 4.2 support, which the latest update uses

But they are preparing an update to avoid using it when it’s not available.

Edit: The issue has been fixed, I had to download the installer again but it works now!

Also I’m not really sure if this is related to the bug report 'cause the OP there said their CPUs aren’t old, so..
