My UI needs work

Over the past year, I have been working on my UI skills, improving every project.

With me almost being completely done with the UI changes for my module PreloadService, I have started to run out of ideas on how to improve it.

I will use this thread for all future UI, and to listen to feedback.
To avoid this getting bumped and people seeing the old UI first, I’m splitting them into categories.
To show everybody how far I have come, the following is one of the first things I did at the start of my quest to improve my UI:

which evolved into

and then

That’s where my style started as of right now.

PreloadService: 6\29\22

I honestly think I did a great job on this, but it’s up to everybody else.

The main panel has also been changed bc of feedback

The following is UI I think is pretty good
The first one is actually really old. Dont mind the typo, but I like it. Be be honest all I would change is the fact that I used TextScaled without a UITextSizeConstraint

I made this for a Tower Defense game with @Emberse (if this username broke then go to @PeanutButterFoxxo, if thats broken too then I will update it later) a bit ago, I still like it.

This was made for a now p-banned user, and the game was never really made, he still commissioned this from me.

The following was a shop for @ValiantWind. I really like what I did with it, although I got a lot of feedback when it got it’s own thread.

Now, my personal favorite, PreloadService. I love how I started with it, and how it began, kinda like a glow up lol
How the admin panel started:

That was March 1st.

Now, this slightly outdated screenshot from June 8th

In the latest release I made the tray icons smaller, besides that it’s remained unchanged.

This is the notifications UI as of today, 6/28/22.

I think that my style has 100% changed for the better through the community, with the countless feedback posts I havce made, after taking action on the suggested changed, they have gotten me to where I am today.

But now, I need some help improving it even more.

Please give as much feedback as you want, going as hard as you want. I’m looking to improve and become better as much as possible.

The “Modules Loaded” icon doesn’t really describe the correct detail. Are you checking an item off of your to-do list or loading a module? Same with the “Average Loading Time” icon: are you setting your alarm clock? I think that the “Average Loading Time” icon can be changed to look more like a stopwatch, but the “Modules Loaded” icon I’m not sure what to replace it with, but maybe a couple of gears?

Same goes with the “Assets Loaded” icon, where I just cannot find how that is related to a play button at all. I would replace that with something like the icon for a Model, but that’s about it for my feedback. I like the background blur and the icon drawer menu at the bottom.

These all apply to the PreloadService screenshot from June 8th.

I’m looking forward to what’s coming next!

Just checked, and sadly my icon pack I’m using (UIcon by Flaticon) doesn’t have the icon I had in mind for assets loaded, but I will replace the Times with a stopwatch.

Alright. I might do some searching. I’ll make a new post if I find any good icons.

If you want ot have a look through here it is.

Did you need a model icon? Funnily enough, I made a 3D part icon earlier if that helps.

I also made a clock earlier if you want to take a look at that.

Yeah, if you would be willing to color it white then I would use it :+1:

This is turning out perfectly!
This would most likely go as the icon for “Loaded Assets”, but what about services? A few gears would look cool, but the icon is hard to find.

I have a few options with the icon pack I’m using if not something else

Try searching for “monitor”. The results might look slightly better.

I do want to learn how to do that blur effect on just the background of the UI. It looks so cool.
