Need advice on my game's ad performance and next steps

Need advice on Roblox Ads performance and thumbnail testing

1. What do you want to achieve?

I want to know if my current Roblox Ads performance is good, whether I should continue spending on ads, and which thumbnail I should keep using.

My main goal is to understand if I am attracting good-quality players and making the right decision with my ad creatives.

2. What is the issue?

I recently started running ads for my game Inside The Factory and tested two different thumbnails.

The results are very different, and I am unsure whether I should disable the first thumbnail or keep collecting data.

I ran these ads for 5 ad credits / day over a span of one day so far, and my plan is for 3 days.

Thumbnail 1 (Game Icon)

  • Spend: 3.39 ad credits
  • Impressions: 32,269
  • CTR: 2.59%
  • Clicks: 852
  • Plays: 2
  • CPP: 1.695 ad credits

Thumbnail 2 (Custom artwork showing workers/factory)

  • Spend: 1.63 ad credits
  • Impressions: 17,236
  • CTR: 2.7%
  • Clicks: 466
  • Plays: 37
  • CPP: 0.044 ad credits

Thumbnail 2 has a similar CTR but significantly more plays compared to Thumbnail 1.

My game is called Inside The Factory and it just released so let me know your opinions about the design and whatnot. Inside The Factory | Play on Roblox

After running the ads, the game received around 400 visits within a day.

My questions are:

  • Are these ad results considered good?
  • Is Thumbnail 2 clearly the better-performing thumbnail?
  • Should I disable Thumbnail 1 and put all future ad spend into Thumbnail 2?
  • Should I continue testing before making a decision?
  • Should I increase ad spending or wait for more analytics data?

3. What solutions have you thought of so far?

My current plan is:

  • Keep the better-performing thumbnail active.
  • Wait for more data such as retention, session time, and highly engaged players.
  • Continue testing different thumbnails if needed.

I am unsure whether the current sample size is enough to confidently disable Thumbnail 1.

Any advice from developers with experience running Roblox Ads would be appreciated.
