This is my first ever post on devforum so tell me if i did anything wrong here.
Needed some feedback for my first almost finished game
It a very strange parry based single player game about killing furries. As the first game i made , I don’t expect it to do well. Why did i make this? Because i love killing furries with a burning passion.
Targeted toward older audience.
Game Feedback Questions
1.Is it too difficult for you?
2.How fun is the game for you?
3.Does UI look confusing?
4.Encountered any bug in the game?
5.Is the Final Boss too difficult for you? (Assuming you made it to wave 10)
6.Does perks look overwhelming to you?
7.What do you think about enemy design?
8.While playing , Do you find something unfair to you?
9.Does enemy look uncanny/unfitting?
Considering this is your first game, I can say that you did a great job. However I do believe that there is more room for improvements.
UX and UI
The main menu’s structure seems coherent, but I think that simplifying some of the words in the buttons could make it easier for the players to understand it at first glance. One of the easiest way to simplify it is to use clear and concise language rather than ambigous terms and jargon that could confuse the players.
I think the other UIs are not finished yet so I will just leave it here. (correct me if I’m wrong)
The gameplay doesn’t feel right. While playing the game, I felt like the combat is too slow. I think it would be better if you make the game fast paced, or you could at least lower the cooldown of the attacks. Though its up to you on how you balance the game.
I think it would be better if I could cancel the attack at the last second whenever I perform a parry.
The pistol enemies are a little bit hard to defeat, they tend to run outside of the circle with snipers whenever I charge at them.
The boss fight is a bit confusing. I took me some time to learn its attack and mechanics. You can make the red flash brighter and larger to put more emphasis and attention into it. Adding a warning sound effect can also make it better.
Character Design
The designs are not that bad. The variety of colors in the NPCs helps set them apart from each other. I suggest adding different body types, shapes, and unique accessories to make it easier to identify the type of enemy.
I love how the colorful enemies contrasts the dark environment which creates a strange peculiar effect.
Those are all my suggestions. Overall, you did a great job constructing your game, but there’s still room for improvement, especially in terms of game design. Let me know if you need more feedback.
