I need feedback on my IR remake. Currently in early alpha. (What else can i add…?)
A few minor issues:
- Z-fighting on this floor between two rooms:
- A table spawned in the wall in room A-008:
- I can enter lockers through walls, which would make it quite a bit easier to evade monsters in rooms of this type.
- The map stopped generating after A-008, though this may be intentional. I also didn’t encounter any monsters in these rooms, but that’s likely down to chance.
As for things you could add, I’m not sure how far you’re looking to stray from the idea of Rooms, but changing the build style/atmosphere and possibly incorporating some new lore into the game could help it stand out more from the original.
I just fixed 2/3 of that! (the lockers were intended, so that’s the one that isn’t fixed)
turns out the room gen stopping was due to an error in the code, causing it to generate a room with the id of a room that doesn’t exist. The rooms making walls and generating in tables was due to the Rotation room having an oversight, with the door being 180 degrees clockwise/counterclockwise. Sure was quite a rotation! ba-dum tsss!!!
Also fixed the sub-annex room partially, where there was a table that, upon exiting, had you move sideways 3 studs.
I noticed you mentioned it being a rooms fangame. This is supposed to look like INTERMINABLE ROOMS by ZvardinRB, (which has been privated), so do not mistake this for a fangame.
