So lately I have been working on this game, its similar to the “Impossible Obby”, and I decided to call it the “Nil Obby”, Im not done with the game yet, only about 30 percent through, but I will be very grateful if you can provide feedback on what is there so far! Play it here!
The stages are so long that some people can be lazy enough to not complete them
As a difficulty chart obby, you need to start with a very simple and easy stage then go to a hard stage, at the start for exmaple, the first kill bricks are a bit large
As an obby that has void and kill blocks, it’s boring the fact you need to wait your character to die when you fall, so i would recommend you to put a insta-restart system by pressing R or any letter.
The lobby is very simple and very poor in details, is a good start but can be improved by adding better colors, a leaderboard or something, you know
Thank you! Just a couple of couple of things I wanna say,
Its not a difficulty chart, like the Impossible Obby it starts off a bit hard,
I did add a instant respawn, but I think I will also add that,
As I said before I want it to resemble the Impossible Obby, and the Impossible Obby generally has a lot of loooong stages and thats what makes it difficult.
Yes I recognized that too lol its very bland, will work on that.
the bright pink
it just ends
like bruh
i have to redo all of that stage? bruuuuu
also, when respawning, the character becomes a grey dummy at the first stage, then teleports to the stage they were at, and there character becomes normal.
The game shows overall pretty good effort, however there’s a hand full of things I would personally change or add.
Player Collisions: Like @MichiKun101 had said above, you should turn off player collisions. When players collide it could cause people to be able to mess up other players and ruin their experience. Some players may even find creative ways to skip stages because of this.
R to Respawn: Lots of obbies now a days allow players to respawn upon press R so they don’t have to go through the trouble of going into the menu and pressing reset. (After restarting a lot of times going into the menu to reset can become repetitive)
Stage Counter: This is a simple one, adding a stage counter would easily clear up confusion on what stage you’re on.
Uniqueness: Many obbies now a days are trying to accomplish exact thing you are, just with different stages. If somebody can search of “obby” in the game search bar and find thousands if not millions of games that are extremely similar, what makes them choose your game over all those? Uniqueness. Adding something simple like: rope swinging, anti gravity zones, etc. will add a new layer of fun to your game and will make it stand out.
the place isn’t bad, but its not good.
for some of the stages, maybe be more creative. if not, add more detail. i see you want ur game to be like the impossible obby, but they at least put in some detail
concluding, instead of text telling you what to do you can add a moving UI. that would be cool
