Need feedback on my medieval house

Hello!I am a new and inexperienced developer that started building this week.Today i decided to sit down and actually put a lot of effort into a single building.Well…I did and this came out!

Screenshot_62

Hey again!Today i added some windows and a chimney to the house BUT i need some feedback on how to improve the windows.I also tried making it more life sized (but that didn’t go too well so I’ll retry it in the future)Also i feel like i’ll need to redo the whole build for the new roof so I’ll use more realistic roofs for my builds in the future!Anyway the new house screenshots are the ones that are below this paragraph.

Also ROBLOX has a very limited collection of “materials” as they call it,so in my future builds I’ll try to use my own meshes and decals

Well, i like some details, but this doesn’t really look like an experienced build.

Can you provide any tips maybe?Or how i can improve in general?

If you can’t it’s no problem! Thanks for your time.

Yes, for one, make it life size, add an inside, and work on the details.

  • work on the roof and use custom textures not roblox’s of you want an extra hint of cosmetic

Okay, thanks for the tips! 30 charrrrrr

I suggest you add some windows and maybe a chimney so the roof doesn’t seem too bland. I think it’ll look pretty good.

For your first creation, this is amazing! I’ll give you some advice to improve it.

I hope that this helped you, good luck!

Thanks,it helped me a bunch! 30 char

The house perfect as a medival house and there need no more improvements.
But I think the house is less realsitic.

I would prefer you to work in a better realistic build in the future.
Anyways the build was very good as a new developer.

I appreciate it because I have started to script and build for 3 months now and I haven’t been able to build like this until this month.

Thank you for your inspiration.

Detail, detail, detail. Adding little bits of furniture, tools, lights, etc. around/inside a building to help it feel more “lived in” will improve a build dramatically.

You don’t know how many times I’ve gone to a “house” build and it feels like one of those home improvement shows where it hasn’t been used in like 20 years. Way to make your build warm and inviting :\

That being said, I wish my first builds looked like this, as this is far better than anything 2011-2012 me could have dreamed of making. I see a lot of potential here as a builder.

Firstly, I really like the build. It’s pretty good for one of your first ones. In my opinion the issue is that you didn’t have any specific design in mind. (Or maybe you had only for the main architecture and not the textures). Try using “Skyblox” made by Easy.gg houses as an example. These are the ones I used when I started building!
Hope that helped,

You shouldn’t paint the whole build yellow in my opinion and you should add windows and some detail to the roof.

Okay, thanks for the feedback!I’ll try to make the roof more realistic and add a chimney.I’ll try to implement the windows too!

This medieval build looks good. As the building is well put together it should feature more textures or materials grey, wood, and others the building just lacks overall details I’ll make the build stand out more.

I’ll play around with the materials instead of having just wood on the entire house look at images and see what the structure is, materials, details placed on the house here and there you should add some tiles - shingles and rotate them different degrees to match the concept your going for.

Do you mind taking screenshots of different angles of the build? Add decorations wall lights, boxes, barrels, tools chimney and more. You could take this further however you could always look at reference images that’ll help you along the process.

It’s a good build the shape is decent.

Thanks on the feedback!I’ll progressively add more and more detail as time passes and i get better at building.(or at least I’ll try to!)
