Need help figuring out progression scaling for my tycoon style game

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m working on a game that’s kind of like a developer tycoon simulator. You place setups (basically computers) and developers on them.

  • Each setup has a cash multiplier (for example 1.0×, 1.1×, 1.2×, etc).
  • Each developer earns a base amount per second (for example, the “Noob” developer earns $1 per second × setup multiplier).

So the total cash income is basically:

Developer.EarningsPerSecond * Setup.CashMultiplier

The problem is, I’m not really good at figuring out how to scale this type of system properly.
I’m trying to design a good progression curve — basically how to price and scale:

  • Developer EarningsPerSecond
  • Developer Price
  • Setup CashMultiplier
  • Setup Price

I want it to feel fun and gradual, not too slow or too fast, and make sure players can’t just skip ahead to the best stuff too easily.

If anyone who’s experienced with game progression, balancing, or incremental/idle game design could share tips, formulas, or examples of how you handle scaling that would help a lot

This is might look great start on scaling but don’t forget when it’s changed, apply the changes to scaling

this is litreally a code and math
also you might go on like you could upgrade the current setup

might go like adding alot multiplier and probably time making (litreally that’s the idea and oh the don’t forget limit)

as well this might be depending how you want game, since you mention how you want it to feel (fun and gradual)

this isn’t so easy (either way i couldn’t explain this much)
