Meanwhile this is the lighting i am going for, very different right?

help will be greatly appreiciated as im completely lost on how to do this as normally i am fine with lighting

STEPS LEADING TO SOLOUTION:
To get the desired changes i started off with changing the lighting to a more orange, then i decided it would be better to change the lights to wall lights to give off a better atmospheric affect, i then changed the lights to surface lights suggested by @Scottifly which gave off a much better effect and turned the shadow softness up after a suggestion from @absentdenik this is the changed picture:

Try making the lighting atmosphere a tad more orange?

Like this?

I would recommend changing the lighting engine to Future since its the most modern and advanced.

Yeah! Im no expert in lighting tho so thats all the help i can give ^^’

What are you using, just the Lighting settings?
Try adding Point, Spot, or Surface Lights to make it more realistic.

It is currently using the future lighting system

Its currently using spot lights for the lights but i may change the lights to wall lights to give a better effect

Mess with shadow softness.

This text will be blurred

Also change the other settings in Lighting.
I’m guessing from the wall shadows that you have very thin walls (less than 4 studs) and the Ambient/outdoorAmbient lighting is showing through.
Do you have ShadowsEnabled set to true?

Shadows enabled is set to true and walls more than 4 studs

Spot lights are fine, maybe SurfaceLights would be better since your square lights would project out better.
Lights don’t tend to work well for distances less than 6 studs or so.
Also you can change the colour of each light to more orange instead of the actual place Lighting like @IndigoBug stated. Of course if the entire place is set inside and all the interior lights work well using Lighting with the colour changed then it’s fine.

I’ve experimented a little and think this looks better:

Looks great! Maybe a bit more orange than the original post picture you showed.

What steps did you use to change it so others can see how the issue was fixed?

Also remember to mark the post that helped the most as the Solution so others searching a similar problem will know how to fix their issues too.
