Hello,
I am a single developer working a very large neon themed skyscraper which hosts a dance club, a restaurant and a clothing store. I also plan to add a game room with sword fighting and an obby. I would like to invest most of my funds and time into this project.
However, I have some options and I’m not sure which route to take.
For starters, I have experience with running groups and have never developed or ran a place that hasn’t been fundamentally or mechanically tied back to one… I now have an option with this place I have developed.
Option 1: I can personally recruit and hire waiters/waitresses who will run the facility around the clock. They would be the core roleplay of the restaurant room and maybe help selling clothes in the homestore section.
Option 2: I can sell access to the employee room and the order-area for about 100-200 Robux a gamepass. In return paying Robux for the rooms, would grant roleplay access to be a waiter or waitress that takes and delivers orders.
Ideally my budget on advertising this place may reach up to 50k. I would like to at least make my Robux back long-term.
Pros of Option 1
People who are “hired” or “recruited” are more likely to be long-term players and keep the server alive 24/7. They will also probably be better at roleplaying itself improving the quality of life for the rest of the playerbase. This also means players join a group to help keep them coming back to the game. How much I would make on Robux at all is questionable. It would rely on premium payouts, VIP access (200R$), “club tickets (10 R$).” All features people would like but as much as being an employee itself. Lastly I consider how much time I need to put in to the game to actually manage and run the place with my friend who would be vice president.
Pros of Option 2
A lot of players (especially younger) love to roleplay. I believe a lot of them would be open to paying for access to more roleplay features as such. Selling gamepasses to become an employee for 200 Robux could in return make me more Robux. It would still rely on premium payouts, VIP access (200R$), “club tickets (10 R$).” All features people would like but as much as being an employee itself.
How this plays out long-term is more questionable.
Here is the game (it is incomplete and will take another week or two to complete): WIP - Roblox
