Greetings! I am looking for ways to improve this icon I made for a small project I am working on. If you have anything like tips or something I can do to improve this please tell me!

The hair has no shadows- it makes it look unnatural. Also, the background is a bit odd, and I think it would look better if you had a 3D background.

Hey thanks for the feedback! Also, what kind of 3d background do you think would look good, like a city or an open field or something along that?
Something from the anime maybe- when I need assets or a background, I use free models or download premade blender files. You can also ask your employer (if there is one) for assets.
Okay thanks for telling me! I will use check out some free models and what not, cause its just me working.
I noticed a lot of pixels in the hair, especially considering there isn’t a lot of shading on the head. The background in my opinion doesn’t really match the character.
But everything else is good.
