Neon Glow on SpecialMesh objects please?

Hello!

I’m still cranking away at a really neat Tron inspired game. Just got the custom suits for the game today and found out Neon doesn’t glow on SpecialMesh objects, including body packages. It also appears that Neon parts don’t glow inside characters, even without the mesh inside!

When could we see some Neon support for Characters and SpecialMesh? It’d bring these suits to a whole new level…

I requested this a while back, never got an answer.
But I would love to have glowing meshes.

I made some form of request before, no response on it, and it wasn’t a request for the glow part, just the anti-tone shifting and anti-shadow properties.

Support! I really need glowing SpecialMeshes in my game.

Note: This works for MeshParts, but not SpecialMeshes. Surely this could be changed?

Support. We need neon for SpecialMeshes in particular for our game because resizing meshparts is significantly more laggy (specially at large sizes) than re-scaling SpecialMeshes.

guys, i found out a way to make special mesh have neon effect, use highlight and set fill transparency to 0. it will give the specialmesh a neon effect.

A good solution to this problem is to set the special mesh’s texture to an image of the color you want, then set the vertex color to a high number like 100, 100, 100 and it will make a very bright object which mimics neon
