I’m not sure where else to put this as I don’t have access to make a bug report, but for some odd reason my game isnt assigning network owner to me specifically unless its visual, this is both ingame and in studio. From what I’ve tested, it works normally for other people, but just not for me.
I’m not really sure what else to say, I literally have no clue what could cause this, I have zero scripts effecting network ownerships. If I toggle viewing owners off, then everything goes back to being owned by the server.
Normally when a part has no owner, it changes dynamically to whoever is nearby. If you want something to have a specific network owner, it is best to set it manually.
I’m aware that roblox automatically sets it, and thats working here, except for when its not visible.
The problem isn’t that I’m not setting the network owner, this is a bug.
Just to reclarify, this is not happening for any other players, both ingame and in studio. This is only effecting me. Both ingame and in studio the game is not considering me an option as network owner until I make owners visible. As soon as I stop showing owners, it goes right back to the server.
Okay so I had a huge vfx kit in my game and as soon as I removed that it started working again, I’m assuming there was just so many unanchored parts or vfx or decals or something that was lagging the server causing this to not work, though I have no clue why it only didnt work for me.
