Network ownership question about controllable turrets

Normally this question would be pretty self explanatory, but in this case I want to make multiple turrets on a single object, that can be controlled by multiple players. I know how to do this, but I want to do it properly and I’m not sure if remotes are required or not. I read on the wiki that giving a specific part network ownership will also give every attached part network ownership aswell, does this count for things connected by, lets say, ball and socket joint?

Did some testing and yes, ball and socket joints count. Will be using remotes.
