I noticed a potential and upcoming issue with the new chat and age verification: in some experiences, users can send messages to everyone using custom broadcast commands, especially in private servers (Where normal users often have admin privileges). Since user-generated content (For users of different age groups) is visible to all, the age-group restrictions can be bypassed.
Edit: (I just included the private message now because some have not understood my point)
In my opinon its nonsense to disallow broadcast features especially for Admins and Devs so here are some questions to Roblox as a Developer:
Will broadcast like features be restricted in the future?
How are in-game team members with admin permissions handled, will they be able to send messages to everyone and see messages sent by everyone for their place?
I hope this questions can be solved before the feature releases and causes issues like this.
I know. I also noticed that I may be in the wrong category with this, but it seemed to be the best one. In the private message i also asked what will be happening to people with edit permissions on a place or staff (Team) of the game. Its nonsense that these users cant see all messages or chat with everyone.
I have updated my original message now because some things seemed unclear. Please have a look at it! Also your message was kind of disrespectful. The workaround would have been noticed anyway.
I get what you mean, but some things seemed unclear so i updated the original message. I do not want Roblox to restrict this, if they do something about it, it should be well-considered.
System messages are allowed to go to all users today in Experience Chat. We do want these messages to be limited to game activity, moderation warnings and not be used for user-to-user communication.
We are going to be giving read only access to roles with a specific permission to Experience Chat for moderation purposes. More details to come.
