Recommendations are a crucial part of how we get eyeballs on our new items. However, with bundles specifically, it appears that newly uploaded bundles are not updating their recommendations and all default to the same handful of items. Here are some examples:
These are only a handful of examples, but you can reproduce this behavior by checking the recently created page: Catalog
I have no way of knowing when these other bundles were uploaded but I know the shattered woman body, which was above the others in recently created, was published over a month ago. The very bottom item and very top item have the same recommendations.
There is a strong correlation between what is being recommended and what is best selling. Here is best selling past day for bundles:
I’m not sure if these items are selling so well because they’re getting a huge boost, or they’re getting recommended because they’re selling so well, but I don’t think this is the intended behavior for the recommended sort, which is a huge opportunity for users to see more of our items.
I have replicated this across all apps and web browsers.
Have you tried clearing your browser cache or checking the recommendations from a different device or account? Sometimes the system takes a while to update, or there could be a temporary server-side issue.
I have indeed, in fact, I sent a random selection of recently uploaded bundles to a dozen different developers and asked them to respond back with screenshots of their recommended page. Every single account across every region responded back with the same bundle recommendations for each item.
At this point, it’s mostly waiting on Roblox to fix the backend recommendation system. Hopefully, they prioritize this soon since it affects visibility for new bundles and creators.
In the meantime, keeping the discussion active here and sharing examples helps keep attention on the issue.
Can confirm that I’m also only seeing the same recommendations across all bundles you linked. This seems quite frustrating as these bundles (no offense to the creators!) are gaining sales off of this (in my opinion, unfairly).
The same goes for dynamic head bundle recommendations for recently created bundles. It’s always the same specific set of items being recommended — even in the exact same order — so the same bundles keep showing up, often becoming completely irrelevant. It’s really unfair because it limits the visibility of other creators.
Click on any recently created bundle from this link and check the recommendations section — it always looks like what you see below:
This is actually how the feature is supposed to work. When you upload a new bundle, you may need to wait for one or more weeks to get the updates on the recommended items. Thanks for the report!
Reviving this topic because I’ve been experiencing the same thing with my bundles and accessories. Many UGCs are being recommended the same batch of items even over a month and a half after publishing.
My bundles always show these same Recommendations, even over a month after uploading. It’s always these same 7 bundles being recommended.
As you can see from the images I’ve provided, these recommendations have nothing to do with the bundle viewed, and haven’t updated for well over a month now (~6 weeks). I believe it’s severely affecting the visibility and discoverability of my bundles.
I also have an example two very similar accessories of mine having very different recommendations - one is spot on and recommending relevant items, while the other’s is completely wrong, despite being a very similar (almost identical) item.
I believe this has affected each item as seen by the favourites on each: 91 favourites on the item with poor recommendations, and 980 favourites on the item with good recommendations.
This has been replicated on two different accounts across multiple devices on the website and app. It appears to only recommend the best selling of the corresponding item’s category, even though they are completely irrelevant to the item being viewed.
