I’m not actually sure about CaptureService:ReadCapturesFromGalleryAsync().
In general, if our automation has not populated the API in our creator docs, and the feature isn’t gated behind a beta or some other permission, then I’d assume that the endpoint is not fully accessible yet (if it exists).
In this case, CaptureService:ReadCapturesFromGalleryAsync() isn’t published on the doc site, and I’m actually not seeing any mention of it in any of our recent announcements, besides your similar comment in the Roblox Moments announcement.
If there is some reason you’d believe that this endpoint should be available and useable, I suggest creating an issue with our engine team. Once the endpoint is live, it should also be included in our docs.
Ok, thanks for your reply. I’m hoping they are currently working on this addition and it comes out soon because I am planning on making a “capture” editing software which users can modify their clips and upload them to Roblox Moments
That’s interesting, I’m guessing that it’s something that’s not fully released yet, but in an early enough stage to be pulled by Studio’s auto-complete.
I’ll keep an eye out on this as well - hopefully it’s addressed in the next CaptureService update.
