I used to play on a 3050TI Ryzen 7 6800H 32GB Ram Laptop, which ran without any stutters, problems etc
Now im on a 5070, I7 14700F, 32GB Ram computer, it has good cooling averaging 40-55C on any roblox game, same goes for the GPU. it can run any game i couldnt run without stutters nor problems regardless of the quality setting
Issue is ONLY on roblox, im getting FPS stutters regardless of what i have in the background which is usually nothing, even discord is off, the resolution, if its windowed or not and etc
And it seems to be coming from my CPU going from a smooth 2-4ms to a 20-50ms spike for a small duration of time
heres a clip to showcase
And yes, i have ultimate power plan, roblox on nvidia control panel set to my GPU, game mode enabled, i restarted and ran roblox without any processes.
on task manager, there is no process going past 5% on CPU. only roblox

I have a much weaker hardware system and I have been dealing stuttering issues. I’m pretty sure the Unified Lighting Update has caused this performance issues. This is a Roblox Engine Problem and not hardware.
Specs for Reference
- Intel i7 1255u
- Integrated Graphics
- 16GB RAM
FYI, I’m aware of these specs not being greatest. I drop my resolution slightly below 1080p or sometimes play 720p to achieve consistent 120hz. Before Unified Lighting was out, I can achieve consistent 120hz. Now, I can stuttering issues even at 720p, and lowest graphical options as possible.

when was this update? because its odd i didnt get the stutter in my old laptop
and this seems to be some sort of CPU problem, on other games my CPU performs fine no spikes, but on roblox it stutters frequently

I believe this update was last week (During that whole Connections week nonsense).
For me, certain games have more frequent stutters while others had less. Unfortunately, I don’t think there are any fixes to this aside Roblox having to do Engine Optimizations for Lighting.

I got this PC around 2 days ago (1 day before this post) so it doesnt seem to line up with that issue since my laptop before the PC hasnt had these issues, but if the lighting is causing issues on hardware usage then probably

also, i asked my friend who has a setup similar to mine; i havent asked the specifications but his CPU is around the same. he says he gets the same issue even when he runs at a moderate 244 fps but on certain games.
its the same for me but on every game

Hmm alright. I think its based on the Game Lighting Settings that can trigger this bug because I also have this bugs on specific games. For me I think its games using “Shadow” map settings that I get this bug. Not Future Settings. [This is from my experience]
Although I don’t think there is any fixes to this bug until Roblox patches it.
