Hello all, I’m getting close to releasing my game Titan AI: Circuit Break, a Tactical Rogue-lite Deckbuilder. I’ve recently completed the tutorial and would like feedback regarding it as well as any other general feedback regarding game readability, UI design, etc. There’s still much of the game that’s unfinished, mainly the primary game mode (though it’s still highly playable), so if possible, I would like most of the feedback to be revolving around that.
NOTE: I’m also looking to hire 3D Modelers, riggers, and artists for icons in game and thumbnail artists. If you think you have the skillset I’m looking for please message me!
Adding on to the tutorial you need to scale the text a bit bigger as it may be hard to read on some devices and resolutions! The UI buttons are great! At the end of a fight the button is a bit far away so try putting the button under the rewards frame. The frame in the shop maybe needs a bit of roundness and that might do the trick! I feel that the UI and the background clash a little bit. Due to the similar color scheme. The grid colors do not match the map at all though so maybe change those up and just polish the game with fancy animations and vfx!
Yes it does let the player grasp the general idea!
Yes!
for the level select make it so you can zoom in as the camera is a little too far out!
Hey, thanks so much for the thorough feedback. In terms of buttons, which ones were you specifically thinking had too small text, all of them, do you think you could show me what it looked like on your screen, and what resolution did you play on? Thanks!
I also found that there is no image or background in the menu or tutorial/play/resume menu. i suggest making a frozen action shot of your character attacking a monster!
Not about the UI, but the arena map is not pleasing to look at with the current color palette of the light gray of the rocks, and saturated orange wood, the problem may be because the dark purple ground has a similar texture to the rocks, but my complaint is mostly subjective.
The general idea of the game makes sense to me after playing the tutorial, I can calculate when to spend my defensive and offensive cards and come up with a strategy.
I’d like to mention that there is a softlocking bug that prevents you from dragging cards and moving. This bug occurs after dragging a card like [Strike] to the arena, the game doesn’t play the attack, and [Strike] remains in my deck.
Hey, thanks a ton for this bug report, I was able to locate it thanks to the screenshot and fix it. In terms of the battleground, I agree, and I just have it as a placeholder asset for now as I’ve gotten that feedback multiple times. Thanks for testing it out!
