I have access to the new forums system for groups. Group owners cannot post at all. Even though I own my group, it says “You do not have permissions to post”. Which I’m met with “Something went wrong, please try again later.”
I would like to post and pin so I could have a template for my members to ensure their posts are impactful.
I’m very excited for this feature, and I believe this will only improve communication with players and game devs. Which team is working on this feature? I’d love to provide feedback if needed.
Hello @Afgh_an , I’m looking into this now, can you confirm that your role has the correct permissions set for Forums?
To confirm go to your group’s configuration → Roles menu item. In that section you should see options for Forums permissions which include “Create posts” and “Pin posts”.
Hi @sotero2986 , I own the group, so I automatically get all roles. I also created a separate role using the creator dashboard and gave myself a role with all permissions – which still did not rectify the issue.
Please note that this is happening with people who own the groups; anyone who isn’t the group owner can post.
Thanks for confirming your permissions, @Afgh_an . There does seem to be a bug with the tooltip of that button, it is saying you don’t have permissions when you actually do, we are going to fix that.
The reason you are not able to post is that your message is not passing the Roblox Text Filtering, I would say to tweak your post to remove anything that could trigger the filter and try posting again.
If you make changes to your post the “Post” button should enable again and let you try again.
Thank you for submitting this issue! Let me know if you are able to try posting again.
You’re welcome, @sotero2986 . It seems like the issue is still happening. I have tried both of these posts and I still receive the same error. It doesn’t seem to be the Roblox Text Filtering.
Thanks for posting the screenshot, is there any way you can show me the network response from your browser when you do the post call?
I’m noticed when I was getting the same error that it was responding with a 429 Too Many Request response. Is this happening to you as well? cc @iCebrail@Afgh_an
