What’s up, Devs!
I have made a pretty fun plugin to add some liveliness to the workspace. I know the long development sessions can get a little lonely, so I’m happy to introduce Mini Dev, which puts a small version of your own avatar or a friend’s right at the bottom of your viewport while you work.
It’s a small way to add a little bit of personality to your workspace.
What it does
-
Pick it up. Click and drag your companion anywhere on screen; it dangles from your cursor and drops back down when you let go.
-
Poke it. Click it, and it reacts, then gives you a little emote, usually a wave.
-
It’s got your back. Every so often, it drops a motivational message and the occasional gentle reminder to save your work. Over 150 Messages
-
Configure it as you like. A settings panel lets you show a different avatar by User ID, toggle the messages on/off, and switch between Small and Big sizes.
-
Over 30+ Animations and more to come.

Details
- Runs entirely in edit mode — no need to playtest, it’s there while you build.
- Lightweight and self-contained.
- Your avatar auto-refreshes, so if you change your look it keeps up.
(Requires “Allow Studio Access to API Services” to be enabled, so it can load your avatar. )

Built this because I wanted my workspace to feel a little more alive, and figured other devs might too. Feedback very welcome — I’m planning to keep adding to it. ![]()
