I was going to do some building for my game today, something I’ve been occasionally working on for the past few days. So imagine my surprise when not only was the new UI pushed AGAIN, but this time, there was absolutely zero optout option within the beta-features settings. A complete overhaul (of which is also recognized as a bad execution of such by many developers) being forcefully pushed upon each and every developer, most of whom having large amounts of experience and (arguably more importantly) muscle memory with the old UI. It would be so easy to at the VERY least simply keep the UI optional or listen to their developer community at all. This unfortunately makes Roblox’s lack of respect for its developers (and users in general) more apparent than it already was.
I won’t be surprised if they try to silence all dissent by tomorrow.
it’s been in development for over a year and the staff working on it have been very receptive to feedback. i won’t say i entirely like it either, but i’d like to acknowledge that they did listen

edit: it’s hard to say something that someone didn’t already say. maybe looking 1:1 from the start would’ve been better, but idk, it’s just a lot to sift through
my dad had a heart attack and died when he saw the new studio UI, im sure it will be back to the old design once i win the court case
I don’t think the new UI is terrible, I do dislike the fact they removed some tabs for the sake of customization that just slows you down but this as a long overdue optimization and my studio is running way faster now. It’s kind of a double edged sword but I think some of you might be overeating a little.
